Petty Cash Management can be difficult especially if you’re distributing and tracking cash manually across

multiple locations. Chaayos was facing a similar challenge in its retails outlets spread across India.

The Problem

How funds were distributed across outlets

Each outlet was allocated a lump sum amount of money at the start of the month. The head of finance would

transfer these funds to each outlet manager’s personal account via NEFT.

Challenges: NEFT transfers to each account took time. There was no immediate access to cash - over and above the money allocated - to serve unexpected money requests.
