3. • In 1968, archaeologists discovered at Giv'at ha-Mivtar in

northeast Jerusalem the remains of one Jehohanan,

7.. • The roots of modern X originated from France. It was later

adopted by Spain when it became one of the leading powers

of Europe. In conquest, the Spanish forces carried X around

the world, particularly southern Italy.

• X‟s Originally named "The Poet" (Le Poète in

French) based his theme on The Divine

Comedy of Dante and entitled the portal The

Gates of Hell. Each of the statues in the piece

represented one of the main characters in the

epic poem. Some critics believe X was

originally intended to depict Dante at the Gates

of Hell, pondering his great poem. The

sculpture is nude, as creator wanted a heroic

figure in the tradition of Michelangelo, to

represent intellect as well as poetry.
