MEMENTO

Film title. Signifies his memory loss because a memento is an object kept as a reminder or souvenir of a person or event. Type phase handwritten it shows the character’s personnel feelings or memories that is just personnel.

“some memories are best forgotten” suggests an imperfect life. Intrigues the audience.

The photos suggests memory of troubled events because of their body language.

Black background suggests his confusion because black can be seen as an empty color.

JUSTICE

Film title. Type phase is red so this can suggest danger and action within the film.

Sky in the poster suggests a sense of hope for getting “justice”. Whereas, in our film there is no sense of hope or a happy ending as our character is left hopeless and puzzled. Asking a

question to the audience so it gives the audience an expectation.

The film’s star has a bigger picture which suggests he’s one of the main selling points and his body language tells us that he is on a mission.

The man with the gun we can immediately assume that he is the baddie in the film. With a “thuggish” type look.

A BEAUTIFUL MIND

An eerie background suggests an unhealthy state of mind. The black silhouette could suggest schizophrenia because one of the effects of schizophrenia is seeing the unimaginable.

Russell Crowe is a bankable actor so using his name to sell the film.

Close up of the actor suggests he’s the selling point. The expressions on his face shows a sense of sadness in his life. His clothes could represent he’s from a middle class background.

Tagline suggest that the effects of schizophrenia is directly applied to the main character “he saw the world in a way no one could have imagined”

The curtain could suggest she’s hiding some part of her life.

The sunny lighting from the view of her window could suggest relaxation.

“A Steven Spielberg film” could prompt the audiences expectations.

Credits so it’s another convention of the film poster.

The fact that she’s sitting on the chair could denote that she’s looking back at her life.

A silhouette image makes the audience wonder who that person is.
