Sub: Cut-off date for submission of REC applications by the RE generators.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The CERC vide letter under ref (2), made the Amendment of Regulation 7(1) of thePrincipal Regulations and extended the date for submission of REC applications toCentral Agency by the eligible entity within six month from the correspondinggeneration. Provided that the application for issuance of certificates may be made on10th, 2Oth and last day of the month.

In addition to the letter under reference[3J, clause 4.2(d) 'Model Guidelines forAccreditation of a Renewable Energy Generation Proiect or DistributionLicensee, as the case may be under REC Mechanism' have made provision to establishprotocol for receipt of information and maintenance of the record of meter readings for RE

projects.

Accordingly, to avoid last date rush of REC applications by the RE generators, SLDC have

issu6d the letter under reference [4), But it is seen that RE Generators are submittingthe REC application on few days before the sixth month of generation to SLDC.

Now it is once again informed about the submission procedure for REC that,

1) Cut off dates for submission of applications have been set.a) New RE Generators submitting application for the first time on 15s of

every month (in case holiday or non working day, the immediate nextworking day)

b) Monthly REC applications 20s of every month (in case holiday or nonworking day, the immediate next working day)

2) All the applications received after the cutoff date will be processed in the nextmonth.

3) All the applications with discrepancies/ shortfalls will not be accepted.

Please treat this as most important.
