Teach the ungrateful and severe Jewish populace at the Feast, they were marvelling at the Wealth of His Wisdom, and they cried out: How does this Man know His letters, not having learnt them from anyone?

Praise Him with timbrel and dance;

praise Him with strings and flute.

The Messiah and Lord of all stopped the mouths of the Judean Scribes, and the Hebrews He censured, when He cried out to them: Judge not by outward appearances, O Lawbreakers, as unjust. For example, since I Raised up the man who was paralysed on the Sabbath Day, I Am Lord of the Law and of the Sabbath. So why do you seek to kill Me, the One Who brings back the dead to Life?

Praise Him with tuneful cymbals;

praise Him with loud cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

The severe and iniquitous and

ungrateful society of the Hebrews threw stones at the Prophet Moses of old. They killed Isaiah by sawing him in two with a wooden saw. They imprisoned in a pit Jeremiah the Holy Sage. But the Lord of all they had raised on a Cross, and then they cried out: Thou Who would destroy the Temple, we would believe if Thou Save Thyself!

> Glory to the Father, and to the Son,

and to the Holy Spirit, now and forever, and to the Ages of ages.

Amen

We were Illumined, O Brethren, by the

Resurrection of Christ the Saviour. And now we have the middle of the Feast of the Lord. Let us sincrely keep the Commandments of God, so that we may become worthy of celebrating the Ascension as well, and to witness the Coming of the Holy Spirit.

O Saviour, when Thou went up to Thy

Holy Temple, about the middle of the Feast of the Judeans, Thou were teaching them all, and bewildered were the Judeans, for they said: Where did this Man learn His letters, having not been taught?

Prodigious Signs and Wonders was my Redeemer performing as He poured out Grace’s Gifts of Healing, for He drove out diseases and cured people of their ailments. But the Judeans became furious at His Abundant Mercies.

Reproving them, my Redeemer said to the faithless Judeans, crying out: Do not judge by appearance! You should rather be judging with Righteous Judgement! Behold, the Law says and orders, even on the Sabbath, that a man should be circumcised!
