Feeding the Hungry of Howard County

Why this project?

• Over the past couple months, there have been a few guest speakers at Glenelg to raise awareness for the people in need at Howard County. They introduced me to a shelter that Howard county provides called Grassroots.

What is grassroots?

• Howard County grassroots shelter is a 24 hour resource center for people of all ages. It is a place where a family in need can come and get a hot meal, or a place where a person without a home can sleep and shower.

What we can do to help!

• There is a lot of possible ways that we can help the Howard County grassroots shelter. First of all, we can donate money to help the organization. Secondly, we can make a hot meal or we can make bagged lunches.

• This leads me to my next point. For my project I made over 55 bagged lunches and drop them off

Steps to Complete Project

• 1) Create grocery list• 2) Go grocery shopping• 3) Make Lunches• 4) Deliver lunches

• Sandwich(Ham or Turkey)• Apple• Fruit snack• Cookies• Chips• Water
