Turbans with a Heart is a ministry that makes turbans for cancer patients who have lost hair due to chemotherapy. Begun in 2001 by the women of the Seekers Sunday School Class, this ministry has made and donated over 5,000 turbans through DeKalb Medical Center, Emory Hospital, and the VA hospital. The group meets the first Thursday of eachmonth from 10 a.m. to12 p.m. in room 102, and welcomes new members. For more information, contact Amy Morgan ([email protected]).

Turbans with a Hear�In preparation for tornado season, our United Methodist Disaster Ministry is offering opportunities for church members to be trained on how to be early respond-ers. Early Response Team members come in after first responders and assist with debris clean-up and offer caring relation-ships to those affected. Training will be offered in the Atlanta area on the following days: February 8, February 22, February 29, and March 7. Cost is $20.
