About Gogte Institute of Technology

The Karnatak Law Society’s Gogte Institute of Technology (GIT) was established in the year 1979. The Institute started with undergraduate courses in three Engineering disciplines with a total intake of 180 and a total staff strength of 16. Now, it offers undergraduate courses in eight disciplines, postgraduate studies in nine disciplines including MBA and MCA, Research and Ph.D. Programs in 10 disciplines. The institute has seen a phenomenal growth in students' strength from meager 180 in 1979 to 4000 plus in the academic year 2014-15. The total staff strength has grown manifold from 16 in 1979 to 420 plus today.

About MBA Department.

MBA department has begun its journey in the year 2007. The department has been consistently ranked by CRISIL for its unprecedented efforts towards quality management education. The department also ranked by reputed business magazines. This year department broke into top100 league of business schools of this country published by Business today for its learning and living experience. The industry- institution interaction also touched pinnacle. We partnered with NSE and Microsoft to offer their certification programs. We have trail blazed our competitors in placing our students in reputed companies. Our international student and faculty exchange program is highly appreciated by stakeholders.

About Faculty Development Program

In the current robust business environment, it is imperative for management schools to bring out highly competent managers to serve the business and non-business organizations. Therefore, it is absolutely critical for business school teachers to obtain in-depth knowledge on the subjects they teach to their students. Through the Faculty Development Program (FDP), our endeavor is to contribute to the professional development of teachers currently working in different business schools. The main objective of this program is to enhance analytical skills of academicians. The FDP is especially suitable for faculties who have not had enough opportunities to equip themselves with cutting-edge analytical skills.

Dr. V. B. Joshi (Faculty, Statistics Dept. Karnataka University Dharwad)Dr. V. B. Joshi is an expert in the field of non-parametric tests. He has presented 6 papers in International and National journals. He has been invited as the resource person by many Institutes across North Karnataka. He is the life member of International Indian Statistical Institution.

Dr. Sachin S. Kamble (Faculty, Quantitative Techniques NITIE, Mumbai)He has worked in five Institutes before joining NITIE. He has published 19 research papers in International and National journals. He also presented 9 papers in International and National conference. Dr. Sachin is consultant to TNT India, ACC Ltd. and Parle Products.

Prof. Prasad Kulkarni (Faculty, Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi)Prof. Prasad Kulkarni is currently working as Assistant Professor in the field of Marketing. He has completed FDP from IIMK. He has published research papers at national and international conferences. He is an expert in business analytics with special emphasis on social media analytics. He is working on SPSS, SAS and other statistical software for more than a decade.

Prof. Rohit Mutkekar (Faculty, Goa Institute of Management)He is renowned statistician who has rich experience in SPSS analytics. He has published 7 papers in reputed National and International journals. He also presented 10 research papers in International and National conference. He is

Registration fee includes FDP materials, certificate of participation, Breakfast, lunch and tea. It excludes traveling and lodging expenses. However assistance for the accommodation will be provided to outstation candidates.
