“Mixed Tape”

Calling all designers!!The time has come, and we are giving one lucky contestant the chance to work alongside French Connection’s top designers. Whether you are fashion, graphics, or even music.... A competition is being held, to give you the chance to show your work within the newly re-furbished ‘Mixed Media’ store in Newcastle. The competition has an extended deadline, and there are plenty of open oppertunities. Runners-up will be selected to play/show their work at the

launch show “Mixed Tape”. All you need to do is send us a disc with your designs/toiles,or a ‘mixed tape’ of your music, accompanies by an ispiration board. Please find postal details online at FrenchConnectionLife.

Exclusive Launch

We can now confirm Cheryl Cole will be launching the re-branded store in Newcastle City Centre. The event is exclusive to French Connection VIP’s. However, you lucky readers of French Connection Life are entitled to 2 tickets when you register online at www.frenchconnectionlife.com or send us the tear off slip at the bottom of the page, and we’ll post the tickets straight to your door. The event will entail a champagne and canape reception, followed by a presentation to welcome “Mixed Media” to the store. The catwalk will then showcase the new collection. Mixed Tape competition winners will also be exhibited. The evening will finish of with a DJ set by FCUK FM’s resident DJ, and will be live on air.

Welcome to the store!

So... you’ve heard all the rumours. French Connection Newcastle have completely rebranded their store, just to suit you fashion forward North East! We have retro meets indie rock and roll, still in-keeping our elegant and sophisticated original image. So basically, we have something for everyone!Now, if that’s not enough for you, we are launching a kitsch hang-out underground. Serving our loyal French Connection customers fresh coffee all day long, you won’t want to leave. Well the great thing is, you don’t have to until 8pm! Mix your own tape with media from our Jukebox, or pick up one of our books from the fashion and arts library. At the “Mixed-Media” underground cafe, the world is your Oyster! Want more?! All this can be purchased on the top floor. From vinyl’s, books and magazines, to cosmetics, handbags and shoes. The ‘roof top shop’ is where you’ll want to buy all your goods, and it’s a great place to be seen. Oh, and are we forgetting something?... of course, the clothes. The main floor will feature mens and womenswear, but you won’t feel too close to the boys. Chilled and cleansed, the minimalistic “white room” offers a great ambience, with the latest collections on show in a unique and innovative way. Excited yet? We can’t wait either!!
