Western Australia

PerthIn Western Australia first we visit Perth.

Perth enjoys more hours of sunshine than any other capital city in Australia. Its warm sunny climate, clear blue skies and beautiful beaches are making it an increasingly popular destination with tourists. There is good shopping available, plenty of riverside and beachside restaurants and cafes to dine at, world-class golf courses, over 80 kilometers (50 miles) of white sandy beaches to sunbathe on and a mecca of outdoor activities and experiences to enjoy. Perth is an ideal base from which you can explore the diverse surrounding attractions. Next we visit Peel in Western Australia.

Perth is the capital of Western Australia.

The Peel region of Western Australia offers a popular combination of attractions that include running rivers, deep jarrah forests and sandy beaches - all of which are less that one hour's drive south of Perth.In the Peel region you can enjoy a game of golf on one of the many first class resorts on offer, endure the thrills and spills of white-water rafting along the Murray River, explore the surrounds by steam train, relax at a farmstay, or fish for a variety of seafood in the local estuary.

Peel

Next we visit Heartlands in Western Australia.

Blessed with diversity of landscape and environment, the Heartlands is home to several of Western Australia's most popular natural attractions, like the amazing Wave Rock and The Pinnacles.

It is also a playground... a place where you can enjoy a range of aquatic activities as well as land-based adventures.

This region's flora and fauna are abundant and just waiting to be discovered. A good place to see both is in the Dryandra State Forest; covering 27,000 hectares (66,718 acres) the forest is home to more than 100 different species of birds as well as one of Western Australia's rarest mammals, the numbat.

Heartlands

Next we visit South West in Western Australia.

South West

Next we visit Great Southern in Western Australia.

The Esperance region of Western Australia is one of Australia's fastest growing visitor destinations.

Esperance

Next we continue our tour to Northern territory.

The Northern Territory, the essence of the Australian Outback. It comprises almost one-sixth of Australia's land mass and can be divided into two areas, the Top End and the Red Centre. It is bordered at the north by the Timor Sea, to the east by Queensland, to the west by Western Australia and to the south by South Australia. It is six times the size of Great Britain, two and a half times the size of Texas. From lush green tropical rainforest among the savannah woodlands at the Top End, spectacular waterfalls, and billabongs, to the dry and arid landscapes of the Red Centre, and the Simpson Desert.Population of almost 190,000. KAKADU NATIONAL PARK Part of Arhhem Land, about a 3 hour drive east of Darwin, world heritage listed in 1984.See ancient Aboriginal art in caves and on rocks.

been home to many different Aboriginal tribes for thousands of years.

ALICESPRINGSIn the middle of Australia, with a population

of almost 37,000, this is the Territory's second largest population centre.

Queensland, the Sunshine State.

Victoria, the Garden State.

In the south-eastern corner of Australia. It is the smallest mainland state. With a population of over 4.6 million, Victoria is the most densely populated and highly urbanised of all the states. Victoria's capital is Melbourne (pop. approximately 3.4 million).From beaches to rugged mountains in the high snow country, lakes and white water streams.
