Context – Education in the Reserves• Content not suited to local needs - urban and generic subjects;
• High dropout rate and low impact on improving the life quality of traditional communities;
• Students have to move to nearby towns to continue studies - which often was not possible due to lack of resources or not to separate the family;
• By 2009, only 4.2% of the Juma population over 18 years old had completed primary education and, only 1.5%, high school.
