have personally enjoyed for the past seven years. 2010 Family

Weekend is sure to show you what it truly means to be a

member of the “Creighton Family.”

There are many events for you and your student to attend

over the weekend. This will also be a chance to hand deliver

a care package instead of putting it in the mail!! Please join

us this September on the beautiful campus of Creighton

University. We look forward to seeing you. Go Jays!

will receive your t-shirts,

tickets to any events, and a

schedule of the weekend.

45-minute sessions from the

Student Activities Office,

Counseling Department, Office of

Student Success and the PMED

Advisors will be available in the

Skutt Student Center. Families

can choose which 2 sessions they

would like to attend.

Enjoy an outdoor BBQ right

outside of Morrison Stadium.

The menu includes pulled

pork sandwiches, grilled

chicken and veggie burgers.

Women’s Soccer Game

7 pm

Complimentary

The Creighton Women’s

Soccer Team will be

playing Wyoming at 7pm

in the nationally acclaimed

Morrison Stadium.

Dueling Pianos 9 pm – 11 pm

JayWalk 9 am x Deglman Circle

$15-$35

Join us in a fundraiser for the Jesuit Middle

School in Omaha. This annual event

is a Family Weekend tradition. On-site

registration begins at 7 am and the race

begins at 9 am, both in Deglman Circle

(24th & California). A pancake feed

following the race will be held at Morrison

Stadium beginning at 9:15 am. Registration

costs vary depending on time of registration.

Coffee and Donuts in the

Mutual of Omaha Lounge

in the Hixson-Lied Science

Building will be followed by a

lecture from a professor from

each undergraduate college

at Creighton. Students and

Families are able to attend one

of three lectures. Lectures begin

at 10:15 am. Visit our website

will be presented.

Trolley Rides11 am – 2 pm x Deglman Circle

$2 per person

Join us for a tour of Omaha

on the famous Ollie the

Trolley. A Creighton

student leader will be

your tour guide, sharing

with you the hot spots and

Creighton’s relationship

with the Omaha

community.

Dinner with your FamilyIf you’re looking for something sophisticated and stylish

check out M’s Pub located at 11th & Howard or Mark’s Bistro located at 4916 Underwood St.

Volunteer Opportunities2 pm

Complimentary

Each of our residence halls has a community partner

which provides the residents of the building with volunteer

opportunities in the Omaha area. You will get a chance to

volunteer at one of the 7 community partners, including the North

Omaha Boys and Girls Club, the Madonna School, Girls Inc., or

the Siena-Francis Homeless Shelter. Volunteer locations will be

confirmed via email after registration has been completed.

Omaha Zoo 9:30 am – 5 pm

$11 for adults, $7 for children, $9 for seniors

The Henry-Doorly Zoo is an

enjoyable day trip for all ages.

Tickets are valid for one time use

from Friday – Sunday.

Kickball3 pm x Morrison Stadium Lawn

Complimentary

Campus Recreation will

be hosting a kickball tournament for

families. If your student is involved with

intramurals at Creighton, or you would

like to spend the afternoon outside,

please join us in this fun event.

Join us in mass to

celebrate the weekend.

Enjoy Dinner with your Student: Take time to

celebrate your student with a special meal. Rarely do we

take the time to simply enjoy each other’s company so take that time

this weekend.

It spans the Missouri River,

connecting Omaha and

Council Bluffs.

Paths extend on either

side of the bridge along

both the Omaha and

Council Bluff’s shores.

Join us for a small brunch to

cap off the weekend. Menu

items include Carved Ham,

Waffle Bar, scrambled eggs,

Families can spend time with their students,

while participating in the Creighton community.
