About

The Family Support Council (FSC) is a select committee made up of volunteers. Their purpose is to offer guidance and assistance to Denver Options in the overall policy direction of the Family Support Services Program (FSSP).

The FSSP helps people with developmental disabilities remain in safe and caring family settings with support for that home placement.

It gives a voice to Denver Options’ FSSP customers, ensuring that the program is responsive to the needs of the people and families we serve.

Why is the FSC important?

The Family Support Council represents the families and customers that Denver Options serves and helps to guide the direction that the FSSP and its service providers take.

What does the FSC do?

What is the FSC?

Denver Options’ customers, parents, guardians, service providers, professionals and community members are all encouraged to be a part of the Council.

Having a family member who receives services from the FSSP qualifies you or your family member to join the Council and get involved!

Why join the FSC?Membership in the FSC offers a network of knowledge and support. It is an opportunity to have a voice and to be a part of the decision-making process. It makes you stronger, empowering you to better help yourself and your family.

When does the FSC meet? The Council meets quarterly at the Denver Options office building from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Dinner is included.
