This catalog is a listing of the Discipleship Groups offered for Fall 2019. All of our groups participate in a missions opportunity throughout the semester and strive to pray daily for each other.
To register, simply complete the enclosed form. Please make sure to include your name, phone number, email, and group that you want to join, as several leaders have more than one group.
Some groups have a participant’s guide or member’s book that is recommended. For Sunday

Each week our wonderful chefs prepare a meal for all our families who sign up in advance. Meals are
listed on our website, Enews and bulletin. Cost of the meals is $7.50 per adult and $4.00 per child (10
and under). Maximum cost is $20.00 per family. To reserve your meals, please complete the enclosed
form, or stop by the church office. Checks are to be made to Nancy Pierron and dropped off at the
church office with a registration form included in this brochure.

8:30 am and 11:00 am
Traditional Worship
During both our 8:30 am and 11:00 am worship
services, we worship our Lord and Savior with
traditional and contemporary hymns led by organ,
piano, the chancel choir, soloists and musical
groups to enhance the message of the day!
These worship services takes place in our
Sanctuary. Our 11:00 service includes a children’s
message and a children’s church time for children
to receive a more personal time for lessons.
Worship at 9: 45 am
The Mount is our contemporary worship service.
With our “Mount praise band” our worship leaders
guide us through more contemporary music while
we worship our Lord and Savior. This service is
casual in nature and is held in our Fellowship Hall.

THE GATHERING TIME
From 9:30 am -10:00 am and again at 10:45 am—11:00 am in our “Gathering Space”, We
offer fresh coffee, fresh baked cookies, fellowship and information about our church!
Please stop by and join us for a cup of coffee and conversation, let us answer your
questions and offer some fellowship and friendship as you begin your journey with
Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Traditional Sunday School
Hour for Children
Infants– 5th Grade (9:45am)
All parents of students from Infants through 5th grade are asked to sign
their children in/out in person. Children will not be allowed to leave the
Elementary or Pre-school wings without a parent with them. Parents must
pick up children at 10:50am.
Sunday School:
Families sign in at our
Children’s Check-in
Station and proceed to
their classrooms. We
use the “Hands On Bible
Curriculum”, that
encourages active
learning from all
children.
Each week each week
The Lord’s Prayer, the
Apostles’ Creed, to pray
for each others concerns
and a story from the
Bible. Lessons are
active with hands-on
activities, games and
practical ways to apply
the Bible to today.

interactive lessons and a
steadfast love from our
Sunday School teachers.
We ask parents to sign
in their children at the
children’s Check in
Station before worship.
Our youngest members are welcome in our
Nursery. We have two trained Nursery/Pre-
school Ministry Staff members waiting to love on
and serve our families! Our nursery is available
from 9:30 am through end of worship at
12:15 pm. Parents are provided a pager (if
desired) for emergencies; otherwise we collect
cell numbers for contact. Parents are asked to
provide diapers. We only provide toddlers with
Goldfish (if parents give us permission) and water
to our youngest children.

Youth 9:45—10:45 All are welcome. We are

create bonds with each student
during this hour that carry over
into Sunday evening weekly
gatherings. Topics vary based
on current events and the needs
of the group.

An exciting time of diving into The
Word together, gaining a deeper
knowledge of faith all while
furthering lasting relationships
between students. This hour goes
into deep discussions based on
biblical truths.
Established in 1975 The Whobodies, Mt. Pisgah’s Youth Group have had a long standing reputation for excellence in our community. We meet every Sunday night from 4:30-6:00PM. This group of youth, grades 6-12th, enjoy fellowship time, student-led worship, games, Bible Study & a closing prayer time. Youth are encouraged to invest in week-long summer missions trips [Serve Week], Fall & Spring spiritual retreats [Camp Cheerio], monthly outreaches, Winter Basketball League & much more! Page Bible Class
This 12-session video Bible study will help you see
your “problems” in light of God's many promises in
Scripture. The stories of
the men and women in
Scripture were different, but
the theme was the same;
they were people of the
Promise. Like them, we
can also build our lives on
God's promises and trust
him to keep them.

Christians Under Construction

John Bennett Class
This fall, our lessons focus
on God, what it means that
we are created in God's
image, and what it means to
worship God alone. We will
cover the following books
of the Bible, Genesis,
Exodus, Proverbs, Hebrews,
Joshua, Psalms, John,
Romans, Deuteronomy, Habakkuk, and Acts.
Young Adult Class

We plan to study “Holy Roar” by Chris Tomlin and then “Same kind of different As me” by Ron Hall and Denver Moore. Facilitator: Donald Thomas
Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of
the Christian faith. Over eleven weeks, each session
looks at a different question that people can have
about faith and is designed to create conversation.
It’s just an open, informal and honest space to
explore and discuss life’s big questions together. It
is a common starting point beyond attending
worship to start your spiritual journey.
ALPHA
Wednesdays @ Mount Pisgah Join us on Wednesday Nights at 6:00 pm for our weekly Wednesday Night Kids club. Children are given the opportunity to sing, play games and learn more about God! Children age 4yrs through 5th grade are invited to attend. Wednesday Night Schedule: 5:30 – 6:10 pm, Meal with your family in Fellowship Hall. Reservations Required. 6:05—6:15 All children check in at room 118, opening Bible lesson is provided. 6:15 – 6:55 2nd – 5th Singing, Celebration Choir 6:15 – 6:55 4yr to 1st grade Kids Club Activities and lessons 6:55 – 7:15 2nd – 5th Kids Club Activities and Lessons 6:55 – 7:15 4yr to 1st grade Singing, Cherub Choir 7:15—7:30 Finalize lessons, crafts and clean-up time 7:15 Pick-up for those parents not in Wednesday Night Discipleship Classes 7:15—7:30 pm Kids Club Extended Time, includes a movie, snack and story time. GriefShare, DivorceCare, DivorceCare 4 Kids
(DC4K) are offered on Mondays, 6:30 pm-8:00 pm,
beginning September 16—December 9. You must
pre-register for the classes as we build a support
system and we do not add members after the second
week of each session. The next session is planned
for February 2020. To register, go to our webpage,

on the link to register. Childcare is provided upon
request. Please join us as you journey through these
challenges of life.
Fourth Tuesday 11:00 am—Noon
Care Givers: for anyone who serves as a
caregiver to a loved one. We provide support,
discussion and a book study , currently “The Heart
of a Caregiver: From Overwhelmed to Overjoyed”.

FINDING I AM (Sept 12—October 17) See how Jesus fully satisfies the cry of your heart and the ache in your soul.
