Dan also gave the AMA tips on what makes you stand out to potential em- ployers and skills you should develop while still in school. UNCG’s AMA was given a fundrais- ing opportunity of a lifetime. UNCG’s printing office “ Spartan Printing” needed over 40,000 home- coming announcements stuffed in envelopes so they can be sent out to alumni. AMA members and volun- teers came together and was able to complete the task within two weeks. The AMA was awarded $800 for completing the task. Hello, my name is Ron and I am the Vice President of Sponsorship and Fundraising for the American Marketing Association. I am a senior and finance major. What drew me to AMA was the chance to not only meet real world pro- fessionals, but to also help my fellow students possibly find a pathway into their career. The AMA has taught me a great deal about re- sponsibility to your organization and commitment as a whole. Coca-Cola Career Talk

Mr. Doug Coffed, Vice President of Refreshments

for Coca-Cola Refreshments USA, spoke with the

AMA about Coca-Cola as a brand and career op-

portunities. Not only did he speak to the AMA, he

also met graduate students in MBA 731 Brand

Management and the undergraduates in MKT 331

Selling and Sales Management. Mr. Coffed then

opened the floor to questions about his career

path, what its like to work for Coca-Cola, and

what his job entails. He said Coca-Cola bottling in

Charlotte is expanding and they are looking for

college students to fill intern positions. Students listen as Mr. Doug Coffed speaks about

his career at Coca-Cola
