“It iswithgreatpride and fondness that I lookback at my time as a student at Cal StateFullerton.MyexperienceswhileattendingCSUF–bothathleticandacademic–providedmethefoundationandskillsetwhichhasallowedmetobuild a successful career path in the businessworld.
The faculty and administration of the CSUFBusiness Administration program, and theDepartment of Accounting in particular, havedonemuch to create a unique environment oflearninganddevelopmentwhichIbelieverivalsanyinthenation, andIamathankfulbeneficiaryoftheirdedicatedefforts.Fromgrowingupinnearby Riverside County and then attendingcollege in Fullerton, my path in the businessworld has since taken me across the globeand exposed me to numerous countries andcultures, whichhasledtotremendouspersonalandprofessionalgrowth.
I feel fortunate now – as a recently promotedpartner at Ernst & Young, LLP – to be in aposition to give back to the school and help
recruit and work with the next generation ofbusiness leaders emerging from the Titanranks. I believe the students from CSUFdifferentiate themselves in tangible ways fromcandidates of other universities, and the longtrack recordof successfulCSUFalumni in thebusiness community serves as a validation oftheprogram’svalueandanongoinginspirationtothosewhograduatefromit.
I feel fortunate to have maintained a strongrelationship with department faculty and enjoyspending timeback on campus in a recruitingcapacity and attending events to promote theongoingcollaborationbetweentheprogramandbusiness community. Though the campus ismuch transformed from the days I walked itshalls, what’s clearly still present is the spirit ofambitionandhumilityinthestudentbodywhichinspiresmyoutlookforthefuture.
My advice to future program graduates is tobring their “triple A” game into the workplace– Aptitude, Ambition, and Attitude (that is, noattitude) – and they will go on to accomplishgreatthings.

ACCREDITATION
Through excellence in teaching, a forward-looking curriculum, a culturally diverse environment, applied collaborative research and valuable alliances with the business community, we offer accredited accounting programs that develop globally aware business leaders with practical knowledge in the field of accounting.
Accreditation signifies a rigorous course of study, a well-qualified faculty, high standards for students, access to current technology, and an intensive library system. The Department of Accounting at California State University, Fullerton, is a separately accredited entity within the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, which is among only 10 percent of business schools worldwide and 28 percent of those nationwide to have earned AACSB accreditation.
