Youth Ministry
Our students, parents and leaders exist to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and to be used for
the Kingdom of God each and every day through leadership, community, outreach and
discipleship. All are invited to join us as we strive to grow in passionate faith as Christ‐followers
and live out the Story of God.
Join us each Sunday morning:
Encounter High School at 9:00a
Ardent Middle School at 10:45a
Also, join us every Wednesday night, 6:30p, as we gather as a community of students who want
to grow together as one in our faith in Jesus Christ. We’ll have time to hang out, play games,
hear relevant messages about being a disciple of Jesus, and how to understand the scriptures.
Each week we also spend time together in middle and high school LifeGroups to unpack what
God is teaching us.

Small Groups (LifeGroups)
Small groups are central to Christian living and central to the spiritual health of everyone at
Mountain View. These “LifeGroups” are where people experience what the church was meant
to be: a place where God’s word is taught and lived, lives are changed, people are cared for and
fellowship takes place.
Children’s Ministry
KidzRock: Ministering to today’s children can have an impact for generations to come. Serve
with us to provide a biblical foundation for children to grow in their relationship with God. Each
weekend, we minister to an average of 200 children, nursery through 5th grade. Over 60 people
are needed every Sunday to make KidzRock happen, and many more are needed for special
projects. Volunteer positions exist in all areas: leaders, helpers, storytellers, vocalists,
technicians, check‐in staff, videographers and special projects staff. Contact Becky at 943‐0795.

Relationship Recovery
DivorceCare for Adults is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through
one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.
DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going
through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable DivorceCare resources to help you deal
with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. We are currently seeking both
male and female co‐directors/leaders for this ministry.
DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) is a special group to help your children heal from the pain caused
by a separation or divorce. DC4K provides children with a safe and neutral place to recognize
and learn to share their feelings. For 13 weeks children become involved in a fun, caring group
of peers here at Mountain View. The weekly topics help kids learn that God’s love strengthens
them and helps them turn their sadness to hope and their anger to joy. We are currently
seeking both male and female leaders for this ministry.
DivorceCare for Teens is a support group for teens, designed to give your teen an opportunity to
interact with other teens whose parents are also going through a divorce. The program is
structured around a small group environment that allows teens to share their experiences and
express their emotions. Strategies are shared for dealing with those emotions in a positive way.
We also allow them to be angry or sad while encouraging them to work towards healing. An
important aspect of the teen program is teaching them the foundations of strong, healthy
relationships, and ways to develop and maintain quality, enduring relationships with friends,
family and their community. We are currently seeking a male co‐leader for this ministry.
Choosing Wisely – Before You Divorce: If you are on the brink of separating or getting a
divorce, you will be surprised how many marriages have actually been where you are now!
Taking either of those paths will be the biggest decision of your life, and one that will affect you
and your family for years to come. Before making this life changing decision you will need LOTS
of information. Choosing Wisely will help you step back from the emotional turmoil you now
face and allow God to show you how breaking your covenant will affect your life in several
different areas.
