Role/Designation: Specialist Programmer

Role brief/expectation: Focuses on core programming in multiple programming languages, while ensuring performance, quality, scalability, extensibility.

Job description

Write high performance, high quality code, that is scalable & extensible in procedural, object oriented & script oriented languages.

Focus on core programming as individual contributors

o Contributes to a project from requirements to testing life cycle stages to delivery production ready code

o Able to work in Agile, short delivery cycles (2 weeks+), continuous integration, Test driven development environment

o Implements proof of concepts for identified technology areaso Implements Infosys IP in identified technology areaso Works in multiple technology platform, multiple languages in the technology

platform (application/integration/DB, specific OS), performance tuning, handling modularity

WITH the objective of ensuring the highest levels of code quality (Code right first time, every time, zero defect delivery) in own technology platform WITHIN the guidelines, policies & norms of Infosys.

Academic eligibility criteria (to take the assessment): None

Eligible courses: BE/ B.Tech /M.E/ M. Tech/ Dual Degree/ MS (Research) – As applicable at the Institute

Eligible streams: CSE/IT/ Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ ECE/ E&TC/ EEE/ Maths & Computing - As applicable at the Institute

Selection process:

o Eligible candidates would go through an internet based Programming analytical ability test (90 minutes)

o An in-depth technical interview (60 minutes) would be conducted for candidates who clear the test process followed by an HR discussion
