• WTIA, Cyberport and NetDragon entered into amemorandum of understanding (MoU) under the witnessof Mr. CY Leung, the Chief Executive of HKSAR
• Effective for one year, the MoU covers four major areasand provides a framework for the three organisations tosupport companies and individuals who wish to dive intothe Mainland market

The 3-Day-2-Night Mission Tour aimed to provide latest technology development in Korea for members, and help them seek business partnership there

The event generated very good response with >200 registrations and ended up 120 audiences came

In the 2014 Digital 21 Strategy, “City-wide Wi-Fi for the Public and Visitors” is one of the key initiatives
Starting from 2014, through WTIA, the Government collaborates with the industry to promote a common Wi-Fi brand “Wi-Fi.HK” for public Wi-Fi services in Hong Kong which are offered by the public and private sectors
Objectives make it easier for the public and visitors to find and use the free
public Wi-Fi services in Hong Kong;
stimulate the development of public Wi-Fi in Hong Kong;
further advance Hong Kong’s position as a highly connected city in the world.

As of September 2015, over 17,000 access points are provided for public and visitors to access the free Wi-Fi services, distributed in over 2,700 locations in Hong Kong
22 service providers joined Wi-Fi.HK, including leading telecommunication corporations such as Hutchison Global Communications Limited, Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited and PCCW Limited
In 2015, WTIA organized numerous campaigns to promote Wi-Fi.HK, including Facebook advertisement, advertorial in newspapers and magazines, and also signage and posters that are put up in public
