EXARCH ANTIM I MATHS AND SCIENCE SECONDARY SCHOOL

General information• Vidin is situated in north-west part of Bulgaria;• The nearest airport is in Sofia about 240 km;• Nearby are Belogradchik roks and Magura cave;• The school – 604 students, aged 11 – 18;• Classes with intensive study: maths, ICT, biology;• Moved to another building in September 2012;• Aiming for 40 mobilities in two years.

Specific information• The students are very motivated, eager to

meet young people from other countries, but most of them have no experiense;

• Some of them are very nervous about staying in families;

• Some of my colleagues working on the project don’t speak English very well;

• Bulgaria is very inexpensive country;

• Teachers: biology, ecology, chemistry, phisics, georgaphy, history, English, maths and of course ICT;

• Students: age 16 – 18, from classes with intensive study - biology, English and ICT;

• We expect to find new friends and partners, share ideas and experience, have fun.
