Do you mean secede? Because people want to use different methods they should leave the country?

You MUST be a teacher, to be so offended by students wanting to take more control over their own education. I, as a student, have always been under challenged in traditional classrooms, but because I could never afford a private instructor I had to sit with my hand in the air while teachers struggled to get less motivated students to ask a question or two. Waste of time and waste of potential.

Lengths of message per student (in statements).

Patterns Percent Example of responsesSelf-introduction 7% Second life is a fantastic

opportunity for people to create anything they can imagine, within a 3d setting. I just visited a fascinating build called the "Museum of the African-American Experience",

I own a corporate education negotiations training firm, and I think that for the first time, the promise of "on-line learning" is going to be answered by SL

There's no game play and no game. You can create games with it.

Some use it for music and arts too! ^^ The music academy in SL is a good example of learning music thru second life.

i agree but it’s a free download and free membership, also it’s not just for education

misconception. it’s a virtual world not

a game and its free and will always be there

Not as well. Why not? It's too expensive. Would they let you try to build an airplane in a real school, even in the best college? No, it would be too expensive, too risky. In SL life... GO AHEAD!, try, make mistakes, try again

*Second Life is a virtual world, not a game. It's a completely interactive, user oriented and created

world in which you can be and do anything you want.

Providing solution with explanation.

*Virtual world isn't real life and it doesn't count in the "natural world". People can learn from anything, but

we all have to live and survive in the real world where you interact with real circumstances.

Providing more than one solution.

*Do you have to pay money to play?

*Is second life free??

Asking question related to the discussion topic.

* Would they let you try to build an airplane in a real school, even in the best college?

* How-to game this? I have to download something?

Asking for more clarification.

-Judging the relevance of solution.

* To get through to all learners with many different learning styles, this would be one great and fun way to

process information.
