The ecosystem goal is to create ‘permanent’
mutually beneficial partnerships, which
improves the delivery of health and social
care, at the same time as providing economic
benefits.
An Ecosystem brings together a community
of multi-sector stakeholders, interested in
developing a joint health agenda, aiming to
address and find common solutions to
challenges facing your region.
The main benefit of working together in an
Ecosystem is the multiplier effect and of
collaborating in an International Network of
Ecosystems.

The Digital Health Society
A multi-stakeholders initiative launched in July 2017, under the Estonian EU Presidency
The DHS movement has designed an ambitious research and innovation programme for health and
wellbeing in Europe, enabled by key support activities and involving the EU citizens and the whole
society. Its purpose is not to define each project or initiative but to define a moonshot target and to describe the
components of the programme to reach this goal.
The moonshot aims to develop a series of support activities and research & innovation projects, driving
to collect the data (relevant for health purpose) of 100 million European citizens, by 2027, and make them
available (under conditions) – read the full description of the moonshot. Contact us: [email protected]

ECHAlliance Workshop@ CHC 2018, Boston - USA
Humanize Digital Health: towards the Digital Health Society 17 – 19 October 2018 This year again, ECHAlliance is partnering with Personal Connected Health Alliance for the Connected Health Conference 2018 (CHC18), which will be
held on 17-19 October, at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston (MA, USA).
During the CHC18, the ECHAlliance organizes a 1-day workshop on Wednesday 17th October (same venue). The focus of this workshop is to create
relationships, debates and cooperation between stakeholders coming from Europe with USA and Canada.
The event is designed for all stakeholders (policy-makers, large companies, start-ups, healthcare professionals, researchers, citizens and patients’
groups, insurers, investors, etc.) to:
• Facilitate direct debates and discussions
• Share ideas and building a common vision of the future of health
• Showcase disruptive innovations
• Generate projects, business deals and investment opportunities
2018 main focus is about the balance between the Technology and the Human element. In an era when digital technologies enable individuals to track
health statistics such as daily activity and vital signs, and new applications of artificial intelligence, social robots and vocal biomarkers are creating new
opportunities for health, we are now facing the next great challenge: integrating these technologies in healthcare delivery, wellness and daily living.
The societies across the globe are mostly eager to see happening the digitization of the health and care systems such as other services and sectors,
but, at the same time, technologies need to serve the human and don’t compromise important values of health such as privacy or security.

Canadian European Trade Assembly (CETA) for Digital Health
Join us in Ottawa, Canada on 22-23 October 2018 for the Canadian European
Trade Assembly for Digital Health. This international conference is hosted by
the Canadian Integrated Health Alliance (www.cihalliance.org); in partnership
with the European Connected Health Alliance (www.echalliance.com), and is
designed to connect Canadian, American and European stakeholders in the
rapidly emerging fields of digital health and social care.
Impetus for the meeting is the Comprehensive Economic and Trade
Agreement – the recently ratified free-trade agreement between Canada, the
European Union and its member states. As it goes into force this year, CETA will
eliminate 98% of the tariffs between Canada and the EU.
The Ottawa conference will explore how free trade can accelerate the
transnational exchange of information, products and services between European
and Canadian digital healthcare organizations.
22 – 23 October 2108 – Ottawa Canada
