Europe a focus on the Medieval July 2015 Join us!! In 2015 we will fly from Newark to Brussels, Belgium. We will stay in the Medieval town of Bruges (Brugge) for two nights. Bruges is a completely intact Medieval town whose beauty is amazing. Dusk at the Marketplatz in Bruges The Marketplatz by day Town Hall Church of the Holy Blood Bruges is known as the Venice of the North due to its extensive canal system. Canals everywhere! Canals The canals lead to a serene lake. During Medieval Times, widows of the Crusades lived in areas like this, called the Beguinage. Reminders of the Crusades and Saints abound in Bruges. This castle is actually a Bed and Breakfast in Bruges! Handmade lace is a specialty of Bruges. Chocolate is also a specialty of Belgium Next Stop: Paris! We will stay in Paris for three nights. The Louvre Larc de Triomphe LOpra Notre Dame Then its on to Strasbourg, on the German border. We will stay here for two nights. There is much German influence here. Notre Dame de Strasbourg Around Strasbourg Day trip to Riquewihr. This is an intact Medieval town. Riquewihr is also on the German border. It is on the list of The Most Beautiful Villages of France Riquewihr Beauty abounds in Riquewihr! Did you know? A 3 night/4 day trip to Disney is about $1200. This trip to Belgium & France will be a 9 day trip. Breakfast and dinner will be included for every day of the trip. A meeting notice will be sent home in mid- November with the date of the interest meeting. Consider having the trip deposit be part of your holiday (Hanukkah/Christmas) gift!
