Σηα πιαίζηα ηεο 19εο Γηεζλνύο Δθπαηδεπηηθήο Έθζεζεο,

ην Eurodesk Κύπξνπ ζπκκεηείρε ζην πεξίπηεξν ηεο

επξσπατθήο θακπάληαο “Νενιαία ζε Κίλεζε”,

ελεκεξώλνληαο ην θνηλό γηα δηάθνξεο επθαηξίεο θηλεηη-

θόηεηαο ζηελ Δπξώπε ζηνπο ηνκείο ηεο εθπαίδεπζεο, ηεο θαηάξηηζεο, ηεο εξγαζίαο, ηνπ

εζεινληηζκνύ θαη ηεο ελεξγνύο ζπκκεηνρήο. Τελ εθδήισζε ηεο θακπάληαο "Νενιαία ζε

Κίλεζε" ραηξέηεζαλ, ηελ Παξαζθεπή 17 Φεβξνπαξίνπ, ε θ. Αλδξνύια Βαζηιείνπ,

Δπξσπαία Δπίηξνπνο γηα ηελ Δθπαίδεπζε, ηνλ Πνιηηηζκό, ηελ Πνιπγισζζία θαη ηε

Νενιαία, ν Υπνπξγόο Παηδείαο θαη Πνιηηηζκνύ, θ. Γηώξγνο Γεκνζζέλνπο θαη ε

Καξνιίλα Πειελδξίηνπ, ε Κππξία πξέζβεηξα ηεο πξσηνβνπιίαο "Νενιαία ζε Κίλεζε".

Καηά ηε δηάξθεηα ηεο εθδήισζεο αλαθνηλώζεθαλ θαη η’ απνηειέζκαηα ηνπ

δηαγσληζκνύ αθίζαο, ν νπνίνο είρε σο ζεκαηηθή ηελ θηλεηηθόηεηα ζηελ Δπξώπε.

Παξάιιεια, λένη νη νπνίνη ζπκκεηείραλ ζε πξνγξάκκαηα ηεο Δπξσπατθήο

Δπηηξνπήο, κνηξάζηεθαλ ηηο εκπεηξίεο ηνπο κε ην θνηλό. Τν Eurodesk Κύπξνπ έρεη

ζπγθεληξώζεη θάπνηεο από απηέο, ηηο νπνίεο κπνξείηε λα δηαβάζεηε ζην ελεκεξσηηθό

δειηίν απηνύ ηνπ κήλα.

During the 19th International Education Fair in Nicosia ,

there was a stand of the European campaign “Youth on

the Move”.The Eurodesk Cyprus was there,

disseminating information to the general public about

various mobility opportunities in Europe, in the fields of education, training, work,

volunteerism and active participation.

The Youth on the Move event had been opened on Friday, 17 February, by

Mrs Androulla Vassiliou, the European Commissioner for Education,

Culture, Multilingualism and Youth, the Minister of Education and Culture, Mr. Georgios

Demosthenous and the Cypriot Youth on the Move ambassador, Karolina Palendritou.

During the event, the results of the poster competition “Mobility in Europe” were an-

nounced. Youngsters who participated in European Commission’s programmes, shared

their experiences with the public. The Eurodesk Cyprus collected some of them which

you may read them in the current newsletter.

Comenius

Basic Information about Comenius Programme: It is focused mainly on the school

education, from the pre-school up to secondary level. In Cyprus, the Lifelong Learning

Foundation is in charge for the Comenius programme.

The main objectives of the programme are:

The development of understanding and tolerance among the Europeans

To highlight the cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe

To help the youngsters to acquire further skills and competences

To enhance the youth participation

To enchance the mobility of the students and the educational staff

Further training of the teachers

Lyceum Lanitio-Cyprus and Sainte Union de

Kain-Belgium

The students Niki and Kasia said that:"It was a

really nice experience, we gained a lot. We came

in touch with other people, with whom we are still

in contact and the lifestyle of the Belgium people

which is totally different than the lifestyle of the

Cypriot people".

American Academy Larnaca: "We made new

friends, we had the chance to sing songs in

several languages and come in touch with the

civilization of the other countries".

Βαζικέρ Πληποθοπίερ για ηο ππόγπαμμα EVS: Η Δπξσπατθή Δζεινληηθή Υπεξεζία

(EVS-European Voluntary Service) είλαη ε δξάζε 2 ηνπ Πξνγξάκκαηνο “Νέα Γεληά ζε

Γξάζε”. Απεπζύλεηαη ζε λένπο κεηαμύ 18-30 εηώλ νη νπνίνη έρνπλ κία κνλαδηθή επθαηξία,

λα γλσξίζνπλ ηνλ πνιηηηζκό θαη ηελ γιώζζα κίαο άιιεο ρώξαο, πξνζθέξνληαο ηηο

ππεξεζίεο ηνπο εζεινληηθά ζε κία νξγάλσζε. Γηα πεξηζζόηεξεο πιεξνθνξίεο ζρεηηθά κε

ηε Γξάζε 2 κπνξείηε λα επηθνηλσλήζεηε κε ηε Λεηηνπξγό Νενιαίαο Έιελα Καιιή ζηελ

Ο Απμάνηο, ο οποίορ πποζθέπει ηιρ ςπηπεζίερ ηος

εθελονηικά ζηην κςππιακή οπγάνωζη LCEducational,

είπε: "Έρσ ηελ επθαηξία λα πξνζθέξσ ηηο ππεξεζίεο

κνπ ζε θάηη ην νπνίν κε ελδηαθέξεη θαζώο επίζεο θαη λα

πινπνηήζσ ηα δηθά κνπ projects. Μνπ δίλεηαη ε επθαηξία

λα δήζσ ζε κία άιιε ρώξα θαη λα γλσξίζσ άηνκα ηα νπν-

ία έρνπλ ηα ίδηα ηδαληθά κ' εκέλα".

Η Δλίνα η οποία πποζέθεπε ηιρ ςπηπεζίερ ηηρ

εθελονηικά ζ’ ένα οικοηποθείο ζηην Ποπηογαλία για 6

μήνερ είπε: ”Η Δπξσπατθή Δζεινληηθή Υπεξεζία ήηαλ

κία από ηηο ζεκαληηθόηεξεο εκπεηξίεο ζηε δσή κνπ. Μέζα

ζε έμη κήλεο έκαζα κία άιιε γιώζζα (Πνξηνγαιηθά), ρν-

ξνύο, ηξαγνύδηα θαη ζπληαγέο καγεηξηθήο απ' όιν ηνλ θόζ-

κν. Τελ ίδηα ζηηγκή, άηνκα από άιιεο ρώξεο κάζαηλαλ γηα

ηελ ηζηνξία θαη ηελ θνπιηνύξα ηεο ρώξαο κνπ. Σπζηήλσ

ζε θάζε λέν λα δήζεη ηελ εκπεηξία EVS! Δίλαη κία εκπεηξία

δσήο ρσξίο πνιιά έμνδα, ε Δπξώπε αλαιακβάλεη λα

πιεξώζεη ηα έμνδά ζνπ! Δζύ απιά άδξαμε ηελ επθαηξία!”

Basic Information about the EVS: The European Voluntary Service (EVS) is the

action 2 of the "Youth in Action Programme". It is addressed to young people be-

tween 18-30 years old. The EVS gives youngsters a unique opportunity to get in

touch with the civilization and the language of another country, by providing their

voluntary service in an organization. For more information about the Action 2 you

can contact the Youth Officer Elena Kalli in the following email ekalli@youth.org.cy.

Armando who offers his voluntary services in the

Cypriot organization LCEducational, said: “I have

the opportunity to work for a cause that I agree with. I

have the opportunity to implement my own projects,

live in another country and come in touch with people

that have the same ideals”.

Elina who offered her voluntary service in a

school in Portugal for 6 months said:

"EVS has been one of the most significant

experiences in my life. In six months I learned a new

language (Portuguese), new dances, songs, recipes

from many other countries around the globe, while at

the same time, I was able to share the history and the

culture of my country. I strongly recommend EVS

program to any youngster! You get great life

experiences without major expenses! Europe pays for

the expenses! Just grab the opportunity"!

θίινπο από δηάθνξεο ρώξεο, ηαμίδεςα αξθεηά θαη έκαζα Ιηαιηθά".

Αμίδεη λ’ αλαθεξζεί όηη ε Δβειίλα ήηαλ θαη έλαο από ηνπο εζεινληέο

ηεο εθδήισζεο!

Ο Άλεξ ο οποίορ ζςμμεηείσε ζηο ππόγπαμμα Erasmus ζηην

Ιηαλία είπε: "Τν ERASMUS αιιάδεη ηνλ άλζξσπν ζε πξνζσπηθό

θαη θνηλσληθό επίπεδν δίλνληαο ηνπ κία επξύηεξε ζθνπηά ησλ

θαηαζηάζεσλ. Αθόκε βνεζά ζηελ αλάπηπμε θξηηηθήο ζθέςεο".

Basic Information for the Erasmus programme: It focuses on the enhancement of

the mobility of university students, academic and university staff, through bilateral

agreements between Higher Education Institutions and also between organization/

enterprises. In Cyprus, the Lifelong Learning Foundation is in charge for the Erasmus

programme. This year the programme celebrates its 25 years. Αs a result, on Sunday

19 February there was a concert in the stand of the "Youth on the Move" campaign.

Ewelina, who participated to the Erasmus programme in Italy

said: “Due to the Erasmus I have many friends from different

countries. I travelled a lot and I learnt Italian”.

Ewelina was one of the “Youth on the Move” volunteers, as well!

Alex who participated to the Erasmus programme in Italy

said: “Erasmus changes people at a personal and social level. It

gives a broader view of things and develops the critical thinking”

Υπεξεζία ηνπ Πξνγξάκκαηνο "Νέα Γεληά ζε Γξάζε".

Η Δλένη είπε για ηην εμπειπία ηηρ:

“Η δηαζξεζθεπηηθή αληαιιαγή λέσλ "Merry Holy...Days", ήηαλ

θάηη πεξηζζόηεξν από απηό ην νπνίν πεξίκελα. Γελ ήηαλ κόλν

κία γηνξηή ηεο δηαθνξεηηθόηεηαο καο, αιιά θαη κία εκπεηξία δσ-

ήο! Έκαζα ηόζα πνιιά ζρεηηθά κε ηηο δηάθνξεο ζξεζθείεο θαη

μεπέξαζα ηα δηθά κνπ ζηεξεόηππα ζρεηηθά κε ηνπο αλζξώπνπο

πνπ πηζηεύνπλ ζε άιιεο ζξεζθείεο, βιέπνληαο απηό πνπ καο

ελώλεη παξά απηό πνπ καο ρσξίδεη. Σηελ ηειηθή, όιεο νη ζξεζθείεο δηδάζθνπλ ηελ αγάπε,

έλα κήλπκα ην νπνίν αλαδύζεθε ζε όιν ηνπ ην κεγαιείν θαηά ηε δηάξθεηα απηήο ηεο επ-

ράξηζηεο εκπεηξίαο κε-ηππηθήο κάζεζεο, ε νπνία ζα κε ζπληξνθεύεη γηα όιε κνπ

ηε δσή! “

Basic Information about the “Youth Exchanges”:

The main goal of the “Youth Exchanges” (Action 1.1 - Youth in Action Programme) is to

bring together people from different countries. For more information contact the Youth

Officer Anna Lytra, at alytra@youth.org.cy.

On December of 2010 the "YEU Cyprus" implemented the interreligious youth

exchange “Merry Holy...Days: Celebrating our Religious Diversity”. The topic of the

youth exchange was the interreligious dialogue.

The project was financed by the National Agency of the “Youth in Action Programme”.

Eleni said about her experience:

“The international youth exchange "Merry Holy...Days!" by YEU

Cyprus, was so much more than what it promised to be: not

only a celebration of our religious diversity, but also a life-

changing experience! I came to learn so much about different

religions and break my own stereotypes of people with different

religious beliefs, by being able to see what unites us rather than what separates us. And

deep down to the core of it, religion is all about love, a message that emerged in all its

glory during this playful and growing non-formal education experience and that will

accompany me for the rest of my life! ”

επαγγεικαηηθήο εθπαίδεπζεο θαη θαηάξηηζεο ζηελ Δπξώπε. Σηελ Κύπξν ην πξόγξακκα δηα-

ρεηξίδεηαη ην Ίδξπκα Γηα Βίνπ Μάζεζεο.

Σηα πιαίζηα ηνπ πξνγξάκκαηνο ε εηαηξεία "GrantXpert Consulting" αλέιαβε ηε δηνξγάλσζε

θαη πινπνίεζε ελόο ζρεδίνπ θηλεηηθόηεηαο γηα επαγγεικαηίεο καζεηέο ρνξνύ. Σην

ζπγθεθξηκέλν ζρέδην ζπκκεηείραλ 7 Κύπξηνη καζεηέο ρνξνύ κεηαμύ 15-18 ρξνλώλ, νη νπνίνη

εθπξνζώπεζαλ ηελ Κύπξν ζην Γηεζλέο Φεζηηβάι Φνξνύ ImPulsTanz,ην νπνίν έιαβε ρώξα

ζηελ Απζηξία κεηαμύ 17-30 Ινπιίνπ 2011.

Η Δςπςδίκη η οποία ζςμμεηείσε ζηο ζσέδιο είπε:

”Κέξδηζα πάξα πνιιά κέζα ζε δύν εβδνκάδεο. Αζρνινύκαη κε ην

ρνξό από 4 ρξνλώλ, σζηόζν κέζα ζ΄ απηέο ηηο δύν εβδνκάδεο

έρσ ζπλεηδεηνπνηήζεη όηη απηό κε ην νπνίν ζέισ λα αζρνιεζώ ζηε

δσή κνπ είλαη ν ζύγρξνλνο ρνξόο”

Basic Information about the Leonardo Da Vinci Programme:

The main goal of the programme is the improvement of the vocational education and

training. In Cyprus, the Lifelong Learning Foundation is in charge for the Leonardo Da Vinci

programme.

The "GrantXpert Consulting" organized and implemented a mobility project for professional

dance students. In that project, 7 Cypriots between 15-18 years old participated and

represented Cyprus in the Vienna International Dance Festival ImPulsTanz, that took place

between 17-30 July 2011.

Evridiki who participated in the project said:

“I got a lot in two weeks. I dance since the age of 4 years old,

however, in those two weeks I realized that modern dance is what

I want to do in my life”

Ο Κλεάνθηρ ο οποίορ παπακολούθηζε ηο μεηαπηςσιακό

ππόγπαμμα "Erasmus Mundus, Space Master”, είπε: “Τν

αθαδεκατθό επίπεδν ηνπ πξνγξάκκαηνο ήηαλ ηδηαίηεξα ςειό. Πα-

ξόια απηά, έρσ γλσξίζεη δηάθνξεο ρώξεο θαη θνπιηνύξεο θαη έρσ

θάλεη θίινπο από δηάθνξεο ρώξεο. Δίλαη κία εκπεηξία ηελ νπνία

ζπζηήλσ αλεπηθύιαθηα δηόηη βνεζά πεξαηηέξσ ζηελ εμέιημε ηνπ

ραξαθηήξα”.

Basic Information about the programme: The objective of the programme is the

enhancement of the quality of the higher education, through scholarships and

cooperation between higher education institutions in Europe and the rest of the world.

"Erasmus Mundus, Space Master”, said: “The academic level of

the programme was quit high. However, I visited several countries,

I came in touch with different cultures and I made friends from

different countries. I strongly recommend that experience because

it helps further the personal development ”.
