OBJECTIVEEurodesk wanted to create interactive content in order to educate their audience about volunteer options and considerations. Their specific goals included:• Sharing information about European work and volunteer policies with their Facebook audience•• Expanding their reach with viral content that could be easily shared • Raising awareness of and interest in volunteer programs and opportunities• Raising the profile of 2011 as the “European Year of Volunteering.”

SOLUTIONSnapApp QuizzesBecause Eurodesk's target audience is primarily young Europeans, Eurodesk used SnapApp to create a series of interactive quizzes, which are very appealing to the teen audience, as a way to spark engagement and interest in volunteer programs.

Each quiz was published on Facebook where teens could take the Each quiz was published on Facebook where teens could take the quiz from a tab on the Eurodesk Facebook page. Using the tab feature, Eurodesk ran multiple quizzes on their Facebook page at the same time. In addition to Facebook, Eurodesk published the quizzes on several websites including eurodesk.eu and europa.eu/youth.

The “Wheel of Opportunity,” a simple, four question personality test, The “Wheel of Opportunity,” a simple, four question personality test, was designed as a self-assessment tool that enabled test takers to determine which volunteer program was best suited to their individual needs and preferences. Meanwhile, the “EU Volunteering Quiz” was a trivia quiz designed to raise awareness about volunteer opportunities in Europe.

RESULTEurodesk ran the EU Volunteering Quiz on a dedicated Facebook tab. During the three months the quiz ran, Eurodesk realized the following results: • >50% quiz completion rate• 25% share rate• 2.31 referrals per share*• 2.31 referrals per share**Referrals are the average number of times a share link is clicked
