HemoForte PlusPulmonary Support for Horses

Plumonary support for horses. Supporting capillary function for horses in hard training, under stress and racing

BioflavonoidsBioflavonoids, such as Citrus sinensis, are vitamin-like compounds. The term refers tomany different compounds e.g. hesperidin and rutin. They are not manufactured in thebody so must be supplied from dietary sources. The function of Bioflavonoids is to increasecapillary strength and regulate their permeability. They act to help Ascorbic Acid tomaintain Collagen - the ‘cement’ between cells, in a healthy condition. Bioflavonoidsenhance the action of Vitamin C and help reduce its oxidation. There is great advantagein feeding both together as in HemoForte.

Vitamin K3This form of vitamin K has shown them to be extremely beneficial to overall animal health. The primary role of Vitamin K is to facilitate blood clotting. Thus in a situation where aminor rupture occurs in a blood capillary having a plentiful supply of Vitamin K can allowthe animal’s system to respond quickly. A further reason for the addition of Vitamin K isto combat any situations where a Vitamin K antagonist may be present. Such situationscan occur on hays and pastures containing certain types of forages. Also occasionally lowlevels of mould are encountered. Certain Moulds can produce Vitamin K antagonists.

Ascorbic Acid acts as a powerful antioxidant and thus helps protect cells fromdegradation. In conjunction with Bioflavonoids they act to maintain capillary strength.

Oral Pastes +

BCAA is a unique combination of the muscle supporting branch chainamino acids L-Valine, L-Leucine and L-Isoleucine. The three essentialamino acids, valine, leucine and isoleucine cannot be manufactured by thehorse, yet are required in large amounts in the diet of horses to ensurethe optimum recovery and repair of muscles after hard exertion.

Branch Chain Amino Acids are required in high amounts any time there isstrenuous exercise and stress, including after muscle injury, surgery, hardor prolonged exercise or racing.

Muscle tissue consists of about one third of these branch chain aminoacids, and muscle damage during exertion, results in loss of largeamounts of these critical nutrients.

Regular BCAA supplementation before and after heavy exertion helpreduce muscle problems and boost muscle recovery. Allowing musclesto work to the maximum potential and support the horse torecover faster after a race or event.

Feeding Instructions:Direct towards back of the tongue and depress plunger to deposit paste.

• Feed 60ml within 30 minutes of the end of the race or cross country phase.

• Endurance exercise - Feed 20ml every 2-3 hours of activity.

• Alternatively - Feed 60ml 3-4 hours before event. Feeding a further 60ml within 30 minutes of the finish of the race or cross country phase.

Iron Booster is to be routinely fed prior to races or competition to assistmaximum levels of essential blood nutrients and oxygen needed byhorses and ponies. Iron Booster also promotes a healthy appetite.

Iron Booster contains MAAC to ensure a high level of bio-availability. IronMetalosates are metal amino acid chelates. Iron in this form is betterprotected against adverse interactions in the gut and more available tothe horse and pony. Much of the iron found in soil and herbage isoxidised and unavailable to the animal. High intakes of manganese willalso block iron absorption.

Iron Booster also includes members of the water soluble vitamin Bcomplex, which are not stored in the horse in appreciable amounts and aregular exogenous supply is essential. Iron Booster supports:

- The prevention of anaemia. B Vitamins in conjuction with Iron are needed for red blood cell synthesis.

- Good digestive activity.- All horses in training and those recovering from post antibiotic

pigment in red blood cells.• Increased incidence of epiphysitis in young stock• Dullness in the coat and poor hooves. This can be

especially seen when horses are turned out in the spring.• Poor fertility. Copper availability is essential for enzyme

activity and improved reproduction.

Joints • Mobility • Action

Omega 3 + Glucosamine + MSM + Chondroitin + Hyaluronic AcidEliteFlex Forte is a new generation feed supplement to support mobility in horses.

• Omega 3 research has shown Omega 3 may safely support the relief of inflammation and pain caused by arthritis, as well as slowing joint dehydration.

• Hyaluronic Acid is composed of d-Glucoronic acid and N acetyl D glucosamine and is found in both the extracellular and intracellular matrix, especially in the soft connective tissues of horses. Hyaluronic Acid is noted for its ability to form highly viscous solutions making Hyaluronic acid the primary constituent of Synovial fluid (JOINT LUBRICANT) in the joints of horses.

• Glucosamine enhances the level of glycosaminoglycans in the joint. These are the ‘building blocks’ in the cartilage matrix. Glucosamine will increase the hyaluronate content in the joint. Hyaluronate is a fundamental component of synovial fluid - the joint lubricant.

• Chondroitin Sulphate is a natural ‘water magnet’ in the joint to withstand constant compression and concussion. Chondroitin sulphate also inhibits ‘the cartilage chewing’ enzymes that are present in damaged joints

• Chelated Zinc together with sulphur forms the structural tissue we know as keratin

• Vitamin E - Proven antioxidant

• Lysine - Essential building block for muscle protein

Feeding Instructions:

EliteFlex Forte should be added to the normal feed ration.

Supporting lactic acid metabolism

• Citrate Based Buffer

Accumulation of lactic acid in the blood & muscles may cause muscle stiffness, musclecramping (stiffness) and damage to the muscle fibres.

Lactic Acid build up prevents muscles from operating normally during exercise. Certain individual horses are genetically more prone to accumulation of lactic acid. Anutritional strategy using Nutra-Fix can aid the reduction or eliminate the incidence of musclecramp.

• Antioxidants

• Sodium citrate which has a neutralising effect on lactic acid build up

• Citric Acid metabolites act as a buffer when there is an alkali deficiency or if acidosis occurs

Feeding instructionsNutra-Fix should be added to the normal feed.

Plumonary support for horses. Supporting capillaryfunction for horses in hard training, under stress andracing

BioflavonoidsBioflavonoids, such as Citrus sinensis, are vitamin-likecompounds. The term refers to many different compoundse.g. hesperidin and rutin. They are not manufactured in thebody so must be supplied from dietary sources. Thefunction of Bioflavonoids is to increase capillary strengthand regulate their permeability. They act to help AscorbicAcid to maintain Collagen – the ‘cement’ between cells, ina healthy condition. Bioflavonoids enhance the action ofVitamin C and help reduce its oxidation. There is greatadvantage in feeding both together as in HemoForte Plus.

Vitamin K3This form of vitamin K has shown them to be extremelybeneficial to overall animal health. The primary role ofVitamin K is to facilitate blood clotting. Thus in a situationwhere a minor rupture occurs in a blood capillary having aplentiful supply of Vitamin K can allow the animal’ssystem to respond quickly. A further reason for theaddition of Vitamin K is to combat any situations where aVitamin K antagonist may be present. Such situations canoccur on hays and pastures containing certain types offorages. Also occasionally low levels of mould areencountered. Certain Moulds can produce Vitamin Kantagonists.

Ascorbic Acid acts as a powerful antioxidant and thushelps protect cells from degradation. In conjunction withBioflavonoids they act to maintain capillary strength.

SandFix powder Psyllium husks are used as a support for horses at risk of, or withsand colic.

Diarrhoea, weight loss and abdominal distress are signs a horse has been eating sand. If yourhorse shows these signs consult your veterinary surgeon. Left untreated intestinal sand canlead to impaction

Pysllium husk has been shown to help support the removal of sand from the intestine.Psyllium is a natural soluble fibre derived from the husks of a seed grain. It absorbs liquid inthe intestines and swells to support the prevention and removal of compactions caused byingested sand and foreign matter.

Can be given to horses of all ages including young foals.

Code: 7776

Vitamin K1 & K2 Supplement for Horses

Vitamin K supports the reduction of the incidence of bone defects that cost thethoroughbred industry every year in terms of lost genetic potential, poor performance andmoney.

The protein osteocalcin, which is dependent on Vitamin K, binds the mineral and protein inbone together. If the horse does not have enough available Vitamin K, the binding isincomplete and low density, defective bone and cartilage are produced.

It has being known for some time that the correct form of Vitamin K prevents and supportsthe reversal of osteoporosis, improves bone geometry and reduces the incidence of stressfractures in humans.

Note: Horses that do not have constant access to high quality fresh grazing pasture arelikely to be deficient in Vitamin K, leading to a reduction in bone density and strength.

EliteFlex Forte supports:

• Healthy joints

• Mobility

• Minimising inflammation

• Extremely palatable

Containing:

• Omega 3 research has shown Omega 3 may safely aid therelief the inflammation and pain caused by arthritis, as well as slowing joint dehydration.

• Glucosamine enhances the level of glycosaminoglycans in the joint. These are the ‘building blocks’ in the cartilage matrix. Glucosamine will increase the hyaluronate content in the joint. Hyaluronate is a fundamental component of synovial fluid-the joint lubricant.

• Chondroitin Sulphate is a natural ‘water magnet’ in the joint to withstand constant compression and concussion. Chondroitin sulphate also inhibits ‘the cartilage chewing’ enzymes that are present in damaged joints

• Chelated Zinc - Together with sulphur forms the structural tissue we know as keratin

• Vitamin E - Proven antioxidant

• Lysine - Essential building block for muscle protein

Feeding Instructions:EliteFlex Forte should be added to the normal feed ration.

Horses: To Start: Feed 50ml per day for 60-120 days.
