Equity – Having decent affordable housing enables individuals to be part of a healthy community.

Empathy - Housing need far exceeds the available resources. Lack of housing decreases opportunities for addressing basic health needs. Community awareness is essential in assisting community members to understand the scope of the problem.

Resilience – Having decent affordable housing enables individuals to bounce back from setbacks. They have a home and a place for comfort.

Empowerment – Having a home empowers individuals to focus on other key needs for improving the quality of their lives.

A Look into Housing & Health

Without having a home, it is almost impossible for an individual or family to focus on their other life needs. Programs that are able to provide

housing, coupled with services, for vulnerable populations allow individuals to focus on their mental and physical needs, their security and

safety needs, and their need for community connection.
