Missions: A Bias Toward Action

• The gospels are littered with words like immediately, suddenly, and swiftly.

• Wouldn't it be great if the church of Jesus was a bit swifter to respond to the command of God to….

•go

Missions: A Bias Toward Action

• If God puts people on your heart

• don't just pray for them,

• go to them quickly and watch what God does.

• Don't wait until every piece of the puzzle is in place

• and every penny is in the bank.

• Step out.

• Risk it – in faith.

Missions: Making ourselves available

• Ephesians 2:10 We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

• WE … ARE … GOD’s

• 2 Chr 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.

Missions: It’s why we’re here.

• You were made for a mission• God is at work in the world, and he wants us to join

him.• God wants you to share His love where you are. As a

student, mother, teacher, salesman, manager, or whatever you do,

• God wants you to reach out to the people in your life. That might mean inviting a friend to church or showing love to those in need around you.

Missions: It’s why we’re here.

• God invites us to participate in the greatest, largest, most diverse, and most significant cause in history – his kingdom.

• We have opportunities to become involved in short-term international missions.

• You were saved to serve and made to go out and spread the Good News.

• Our Missions program is here to help you discover ways that you can share your faith - locally and globally.
