Visit the Great Wall of China Visit the Summer Palace

Today, we take you on a tour of the Great Wall of China. This 3,946 mile long wall is a symbol of China’s ancient civilization and ranks among the greatest monuments in history. Later we stop for a photo opportunity of the ‘Olympic Park’ - the symbolic stadium where the 2008 Olympics were held. In the afternoon, we continue our tour to Summer Palace and its immense gardens, where the imperial court resided during summer.

Today, we take you on a guided city tour of Beijing conducted by an English speaking guide. We go on a visit to the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven was the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties came to worship the God of Heaven and pray for good harvests. The highlight of this tour is the blue tile-roofed Hall of prayer. See Tian’anmen Square, the largest square in the world. Visit the Forbidden City, an awesome 250-acre complex of palaces, pavilions and gardens.

Fly to Xi’anPhoto Stop at Big Wild Goose PagodaPhoto Stop at Ancient City Wall

Today we drive to the airport for our flight to Xian. Later, we take a stop for a photo opportunity of the City Wall of Xi’an, built during the Tang dynasty. We also drive past the Big Wild Goose Pagoda built in 652 AD. As the symbol of the old-line Xian, Big Wild Goose Pagoda (also called Giant Wild Goose Pagoda) is a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists.

Visit the Terracotta Warriors

Today, we begin the day with a tour of Xi’an. See the Terracotta Warriors - the tomb of the First Emperor of China. See more than 6000 moulded soldiers, officers, horses and wagons of this famed army.

Fly to Shanghai

Today, we take you on a guided city tour of Shanghai. We take a photo Stop at the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and the Yu Yuan Garden, a traditional Chinese park with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes and bridges. Visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882, the temple has two Jade statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha and houses various ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures.

Guided City Tour of Tokyo Visit the Asakusa Kannon TempleVisit the Tokyo TowerVisit Edo Museum

Today, we proceed on a guided city tour of Tokyo.Visit the Edo Museum, Edo-Tokyo Museum is Japan’s premier museum dedicated to the history of Japan’s capital city, Tokyo. We visit the most popular Asakusa Kannon Temple. The heart of the Asakusa Temple complex is the Kannondo Temple with a history of more than 1300 years. We stop at Nakamise Street where you can shop for souvenirs. We later proceed for a Photo stop of the Imperial Palace and Sky Tree We drive by Ginza, Tokyo’s most famous up-market shopping, dining and entertainment district, with numerous department stores and boutiques, featuring virtually every leading brand name in fashion and cosmetics, art galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafes.

We continue our tour and visit the Tokyo Tower (First Observatory). With 333 meters, Tokyo Tower is the world’s tallest self-supporting steel tower. It was completed in the year 1958 as a symbol for Japan’s rebirth as a major economic power.

Today, we check out of the hotel and visit Peace Park in Gotemba which commands a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji and houses the chalky stupa. Stupa in chalk, the stupa was sent from the late first Prime Minister Nehru of India.Later we drive to the beautiful Fuji Hakone National Park, where we take you for an exquisite cruise on Lake Ashi. Enjoy the enchanting cruise as well as the picturesque and unforgettable surroundings of Lake Ashi.

See Mt. Fuji towering to a height of 3,776 metres. It is the tallest mountain of Japan and its most distinguishing physical landmark. We take you on an exciting excursion to the 5th station of Mt. Fuji (subject to weather conditions).

Onto HiroshimaRide on the Shinkansen - The Bullet TrainVisit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome

Today, we check out of the hotel and take you to Mishima Station to board Shinkansen - The Bullet train to Hiroshima. Experience a thrilling ride on the Bullet Train, the fastest train in the world. On arrival, we visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Genbaku Dome) which is a part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The ruin serves as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 was the only structure left standing in the area where the first atomic bomb exploded.

Onto OsakaVisit Osaka Castle

Today, we check out of the hotel and drive to Osaka. We transfer to Osaka to visit the famous Osaka Castle. Osaka Castle was rebuilt by Tokugawa Hidetada in the 1620s, but its main castle tower was struck by lightening in 1665 and burnt down. It was not until 1931 that the present ferroconcrete reconstruction of the castle was built. Major repair works gave the castle new glamour in 1997. Inside the castle is a museum that documents Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s life and the history of the castle.

Day 13

Onto KyotoVisit Todaiji Temple and Deer Park in NaraExperience Eizan Train Visit Arashiyama Bamboo Forest

Today, we proceed to Kyoto. Enroute we visit the Todaiji Temple in Nara. The best-known relic at Todaiji Temple is its Daibutsu, a colossal statue of the world’s largest gilded bronze Buddha, 15 meters in height. We proceed to the Deer park. The park is home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Considered messengers of the gods in Shinto, Nara’s deer have become a symbol of the city and have even been designated a National Treasure.We proceed to the Kurama station to board the Eizan Train , If you want to take in some mountain scenery in Kyoto, the Eizan Electric Railway is your best choice. We then proceed to the Arashiyama Forest, the name “Arashiyama” technically just refers to the mountains on the southern bank of the river. The walking paths that cut through the bamboo groves make for a nice walk. The groves are particularly attractive when there is a light wind and the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth.
