• Jan was born in Oklahoma City and moved to Central Florida in 1988.

• She graduated from U.S. Grant High School, Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Florida.

Janice S. Addison – 20 Years

• Jan was hired in 1998 by Jessica Blume and Jean Bennett as the Assistant Manager of OMB.

• She was promoted to Manager of OMB and in 1992, Jan became the Convention Center Business Manager.

Jan Addison – 20 Years• Jan is currently responsible for the Convention

Center’s financial management, lease agreements, contract administration, parking operations and box office.

• She is a Certified Facilities Executive through the International Association of Assembly Managers and the 1st person from the Convention Center to achieve this designation.

• Jan has assisted with the growth of the Convention Center, established a Convention Services Academy, a Convention Services Professional Program and she co-created the Center of Hospitality Program.

Jan Addison – 20 Years• Jan has served on many committees and projects,

including the Sustainability (Green) Committee.• She has been married to Gary for 39 years and they have

two children: Keri, who is a Director of Sales in the hospitality industry; and Todd, an Operations Associate with Bank of New York. Jan has three grand-children: Alex 15, Lilly 9 and Evan, 4 mos.

• Jan enjoys painting in watercolor, reading and raising funds to benefit the Perry Pavilion at Dr. Phillips Hospital. She’s a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, a Board Member of the International Drive Resort Area Chamber of Commerce and is on the United Way Leadership Level.

• Rhonda was born and raised in Orlando.

• She graduated from Colonial High School.

• She started with Animal Services in 1983 as a Clerk Specialist.

Rhonda M. Reining - 25 Years

• Rhonda was promoted to Front Desk Supervisor and is now an Administrative Specialist.

• She has also assisted with purchasing.

Rhonda Reining – 25 Years

• Rhonda was recently contacted by the Orange County History Center to be inducted into the Native Orange County Resident Roster.

• She also volunteers with the Orlando Shakespeare Theater.

• Rhonda’s hobbies include: Arts and crafts, boating, fishing, camping, enjoying nature and reading plays. *

• Kyle was born and raised in Orlando. (actually East-Orlando when it was groves, lakes and pastures)

• He graduated from Lake Howell High School and the University of Central Florida.

Kyle L. Kent – 20 Years

• Kyle was the lead tenor sax player in a jazz band and worked in Europe for two weeks. He came back broke and got a long term gig with Orange County.

• Kyle worked initially with the Building Department. A year later he transferred to the Historical Museum as a event planner and organizer.

Kyle Kent – 20 Years• Kyle worked on the restoration of the 1926 historic fire

station and he helped Evans High School observe the 50th Anniversary of World War II.

• In 1994, Kyle transferred to Parks and Recreation as a Site Supervisor. In 2005, he was promoted to Program Manager and in 2008, he became Assistant Manager.

• Kyle is a nationally certified Parks and Recreation Professional and has served with the Florida Recreation and Park Association.

• He has received several awards from: NACO/NACIO; Employee of the Quarter and Year; 2003 East Orlando Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for Downey Park. Kyle is honored to be part of this year’s Leadership Institute.

Kyle Kent – 20 Years• Kyle has been married to Barbie for 16 years and

they have two children: Travernor 15; and TraeLynn 7.

• His family also sponsors two children

in Ethiopia: Yohannes and Salemowette.• Kyle leads a bible study group for

students and he’s the youth mission’s

Director.• In his spare time, Kyle enjoys kayaking with his

son, playing food chain with his daughter, hot strong coffee and whistling at his wife. *

• Lewis was born in Puerto Rico, raised in New York, and moved to Central Florida in 1988.

• He graduated from Morris High School (the same school General Colin Powell attended).

Lewis Morales – 20 Years

• Lewis was hired by Orange County in 1988 as a Corrections Trainee and later attended Corrections Academy #28 at Mid-Florida Tech.

• He was one of the first people selected for the Master Correction Officers Course.

Lewis Morales – 20 Years• Lewis is a Jail Training Officer, Crisis Intervention Officer,

and he was a member of the Gang Unit.• He earned a special citation for foiling a planned escape.• Lewis has worked in almost all Corrections facilities

including the downtown jail, transportation and the medical unit.

• He has been married to Norma for 42 years and they have three children: Raymond, an OPD Officer; Millie, an Educator at St. Margaret Mary School; and Vanessa, a Doctor.

• In his spare time, Lewis enjoys working around the house. He volunteers in his community as a security patrol, enjoys his grandchildren and his great granddaughter: Jayleen.

William R. Bonta Jr. - 25 Years• Bill was born in Harrodsburg,

KY and moved to Central Florida in 1953.

• He graduated from Evans High School.

• Bill was originally hired in 1983 to work at Community Affairs.

Bill Bonta – 25 Years• Bill served the Orange County Fire Supply Bureau

from 1983 until January 2007 when he was promoted and transferred to the Office of the Fire Marshal.

• He has been married to Myra for 35 years and they have three children: Jason, David and Allison. They also have 4 grandchildren.

• Bill’s hobbies include: Upholstering and refinishing furniture.• He is also his church’s organist and he plays for weddings and funerals.• Bill loves spending time with his grand kids and taking mini vacations. *

• Oscar was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and moved to Orlando with his wife and daughters in 1988.

• He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, with a major in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico.

Oscar F. Ramos - 20 Years

• Oscar started his career with Orange County in 1988 at the Utilities Easterly Wastewater Plant . • Oscar has a Class B Operator’s License.• He has worked on a specialized recycling program for hazardous material, such as electronics, oil and batteries.

Oscar Ramos – 20 Years• Oscar has planned and successfully executed over 60

Household Hazardous Waste Community Collection events.• He has been recognized by the North American Hazardous

Materials Management Association with the 2006 National Award for Program Excellence in the “large category”.

• He has mentored over 20 UCF Science and Engineering students.

• Oscar has been married to Mary Ann for 29 years and they have two daughters: Natalia Marie, Pamela Mariel and one son: Oscar Manuel.

• In his spare time, he enjoys his grandchildren: Joseph and Mathias and he loves working on home improvement projects with his wife.

• Jossie was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico. He came to vacation in Orlando in 1986 and a year later, he packed up his things, shipped his car and moved here with his wife.

Jossie Viera – 20 Years

• He was hired by Orange County to work at the Solid Waste Division as a Spotter. (maintenance person) Jossie was later promoted to Operations Specialist.

Jossie Viera – 20 Years• As Acting Foreman, he was responsible for

meeting state requirements for recycling yard waste and, as a team, his group exceeded the quota and Jossie was nominated for Employee of the Month.

• He is married to Rosalia and they have one daughter: Crixly.

• Jossie loves going to garage sales, traveling and especially cruising. *

• Frank was born in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Orlando in 1966.

• He graduated from Mid-Florida Technical School.

• He was hired by Orange County in 1988 in the Resource Recovery Department, now Utilities - Solid Waste.

Frank Heflin – 20 Years

• Frank started as a Maintenance Technician, was promoted to Equipment Mechanic in 1989 and transferred to Fire Rescue in 1990 as a Fire Apparatus Technician.

Frank Heflin – 20 Years• In 1995, Frank returned to Utilities as an

Equipment Mechanic I and was promoted to Equipment Mechanic II in 1998.

• Frank has one son: Clinton, 20, an Edgewater High School graduate.

• In his spare time, Frank enjoys fishing and photographing wild life. *

• Dave started with Orange County in 1977, left and returned in 1978.

David M. McNamara – 30 Years

• His first job was a Maintenance Person II working on water and wastewater infrastructure.

• In 1980, Dave was promoted to Field Supervisor and in 1990 to Utility Supervisor.

David McNamara – 30 Years• In 1988, Dave won first place in the Florida State Video

Inspection Event at FPCA.• He is also a member of the Water Environment Federation,

Florida Water & Pollution Control Operators Association, and the National Association of Sewer Services Companies.

• Dave holds the following certificates: Underground Utilities Pipeline Contractors, Certified Trainer of Pipeline and Manhole Assessment Certification Program, and DEP Level l Water Distribution Operator License.

• Dave is currently engaged to his long time junior high school sweetheart – Sherry.

• In his spare time, he enjoys the rivers of North Florida, camping and the beach. *
