Note: T10 PI/DIX is supported by any layer meeting minimum version requirement listed in Table 5. For upper layers to supportfeatures, all layers below it must also be enabled and support the feature. T10 PI (Protection Information) provides additional dataintegrity from the array's disk drive through to the HBA (host bus adapter). T10 DIX (Data Integrity Extensions) facilitates protectioninformation interchange between the operating system and HBA through to, and including, enabled applications.

Notes: a. SPC2 must be enabled when OSO7 is enabled.b. The SC3 bit for HP-UX 11i v1 and v2 can be optionally set as indicated only if the SPC2 bit is also set.c. Factory Default setting is not to be changed since EMC requires setting the SC3 and SPC2 flags.d. When upgraded to 5876 code, the settings from the 5875 code remain at the 5875 settings.

Note: T10 PI/DIX is supported by any layer meeting minimum version requirement listed in Table 10.

Guide for more information.c. SPC-3 is advertised and is non-configurable.d. The link speed setting is only effective when the EAN flag is disabled. The supported link speeds will be dependent on the I/O module installed.e. For VPLEX 5.2 and higher, the OS2007 flag MUST be enabled.f. VMAX 10K only supports both thin emulation devices for the IBM i host – see footnote h for SC3/SPC2 setting changes. See footnote g for SC3/SPC2 setting changes.g.
