Note: T10 PI/DIX is supported by any layer meeting minimum version requirement listed in Table 5. For upper layers to supportfeatures, all layers below it must also be enabled and support the feature. T10 PI (Protection Information) provides additional dataintegrity from the array's disk drive through to the HBA (host bus adapter). T10 DIX (Data Integrity Extensions) facilitates protectioninformation interchange between the operating system and HBA through to, and including, enabled applications.
