    Notes on fitting and removal

    Observe the arrow mark on theflange and the tank (fig. 2).

    Observe the position of theupper part of the ram housing inthe tank (keep the V marking inmind, fig. 3).

    In case of shaped hoses orhoses with angle screwingbetween pump and flange, theposition (X) must be used forreinstallation, see example in fig.4 and fig. 5.Before the removal, rememberor mark that position.

    The Pierburg pump isapproximately 2 mm longerthan the standard pump. As aresult,the holders (arrows, fig. 6)dont lock into position auto-matically during installation.Correct with a screw driver asnecessary.

    Insert and install cable and hoselines so that they are not tenseor twisted when installed.
