Objectives

Page 3: Egg drop IX-Diamond MHS (Group 2-Einstein)

To prove that the egg which is drop in a five-storey building will not break.

To prevent the egg from breaking through the use of indirect contact.

Procedures

Page 14: Egg drop IX-Diamond MHS (Group 2-Einstein)

Procedures: 1) Place the egg between two sponges using a rubber bond. 2) Roll the product into pieces of paper until it is secured. 3) Place it inside the stuffed toy for it to be protected. 4) Close the opening of the toy and use a tape to seal it. 5) Now you could easily drop it without breaking the egg.

Why didn’t the egg break? What kind of object should be used to prevent

the impact?

Explanation

Page 20: Egg drop IX-Diamond MHS (Group 2-Einstein)

Properties

• It is because of the properties of the object used and it’s ability to absorb the force the egg will take from dropping.

Physics

• When other forces are combined with gravity, such as motion , inertia, or power, it may be impossible to prevent an impact which will cause damage.

Use light and

strong materials.

This device

must be protective

.

Reduce the force of impact.

Can absorb the energy

the egg gathers as it accelerates towards the

ground.

CONCEPTS

Properties of an object

used is responsible

for it’s reaction.

Indirect process

should be used for the

egg drop experiment.

Shock absorber

lessen the impact.

Momentum is a measurement of a tendency of an object to move a

t a constant speed along a straight line.

Gravity provides the necessary

downward force which create

friction between the object and

the ground.

The properties of an object

should be airy and soft
