Interactive displays are powerful educational tools

that support whole class instruction, student-led

discussions, small group collaboration, and individual

learning—easily transitioning between multiple roles

in the classroom.

Over the last decade, interactive displays have become increasingly popular in schools by

empowering educators to interact at a deeper level than ever before. Of course, there are

other classroom technologies that allow teachers to present material or even provide some

limited interaction, but none are as comprehensive as Clear Touch Interactive® panels.

What About Interactive Whiteboards or Projectors?

Both interactive whiteboards and interactive projectors share the same primary limitation: the reliance on bulbs to project the content.

Projection technology creates shadows, hotspots, and screen glare, making lessons more difficult to see from every corner of the classroom. Plus, bulbs become dimmer over time until they are replaced and the images they project fade drastically in bright light, which means teachers often have to dim the lights, or turn them off completely, in order to teach.

Do you remember when your teacher used to turn off the lights to use the overhead projector? Most students viewed this as an invitation to take a quick nap. A lot has changed in the 21st Century classroom, but your students have not. Low lighting means less engaged students.

Can Interactive Displays collaborate with one-to-one devices?Yes! Interactive displays are an even better purchasing decision for schools that have already invested in classroom sets of personal devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Here’s why.

While these devices can be fantastic learning tools, they are designed for individual learning, not for collaboration. In fact, students sitting at their desks working on a laptop or touch screen are really no different than students sitting at their desks reading or filling out worksheets—the medium is different but the result is the same. Low level interaction and limited educational value.

Projectors typically have low quality image resolution and sharpness. Combined with

shadows and glare from the projector bulb, as well as the shadow from the projector

itself, the lower resolution can present a true obstacle to student engagement. Plus,

Interactive projectors throw an image onto a wall or another surface not designed for

projection, making visibility even worse.

Most interactive whiteboards and interactive projectors support just one point of touch,

and both devices are usually mounted to the wall or ceiling, which means teachers are

rooted to one spot in the classroom. However, Clear Touch™ panels were built with the

20 Points of Simultaneous Touch

Touch is perhaps the most beneficial feature of any interactive display, making it a powerful educational tool built for interactivity and collaboration. Our panels support touch on all applications - including Mac OS, as well as the ability to use the touch screen and write with the pen at the same time.

When there is too much lag time between when the teacher drags an item across the board and when it follows, or if the teacher tries to circle a key concept and the writing feature is off, the display becomes less useful. Clear Touch Interactive® displays feature a cool, smooth-glide surface that is 99% accurate and responds to touch in milliseconds. It truly is a joy to have in class.

More ConnectivityProviding multiple inputs and outputs is about more than greater connectivity and better opportunities for collaboration. It’s about convenience and reliability, too. Every teacher knows that sinking feeling of showing up to class with a well-thought out lesson plan only to have your educational technology difficult to manage. The updated side panel on the 6000U Series features multiple USB ports and multiple HDMI inputs as well as one HDMI output so you can connect with ease. Of course, you can always connect wirelessly with any external device or choose to add the optional WiFi module with your panel order.

Familiar Interface

The 6000U Series uses the simple, familiar Android 5.1 Operating System with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM built-in. Plus, each of our new panels arrives pre-loaded with the Clear Touch™ Store, a branded, streamlined Android app store that lets you get the application you need directly on your panel screen with one touch. All of our products are easy to set-up and begin using, so teachers can walk up to the board and immediately begin interacting with the panel.

Open ArchitectureClear Touch™ offers a full suite of built-in software programs that do not require yearly licensing fees. Prefer to use your own software and programs? also come with additional free resources, such as the Snowflake MultiTeach Community which allows

teachers to download and share resources online. Together, our suite of software enables teachers to do

everything they need to do to run their classroom effectively, including lesson creation and presentation,

content capturing, collaboration and screen sharing, and quick, informal assessments.

EasiRemoteUNPARALLELED ACCESS TO YOUR CL ASSROOM TECHNOLOGYKeep your entire school, or your entire district, informed and on the same page with EasiRemote. Our exclusive software allows remote management and troubleshooting for network administrators, making it easier to solve technical problems internally. School principals and superintendents can manage all of the Clear Touch Interactive displays in their system from their own computer, sending information organization-wide at the touch of a button. Simply login to the program, type your message, and hit send—the message will display on every interactive panel in your network simultaneously. EasiRemote is the ideal application for morning announcements, emergency announcements, district-wide policy reminders, new initiatives, and much more.

DisplayNoteSC R E E N S H A R E F RO M A N Y W H E R EAll teachers aim to create an immersive, student-centered learning environment, but getting there is easier said than done. DisplayNote is a screen mirroring and collaboration software that makes creating interactive, student-centered presentations faster, simpler, and more intuitive, allowing your students to connect and contribute to your presentation, and collaborate with each other, from their own devices (10 connections included). The software even remotely connects homebound students and offsite presenters. So go ahead and flip your classroom. Your students will be happier and more engaged, you’ll have fewer classroom management issues, and you’ll foster an environment where actual learning is taking place.

EasiNoteA N N OTATE YO U R LE S SO N S A S YO U TE AC HTurn your Clear Touch panel into an interactive whiteboard with one click. Teachers love EasiNote because it looks and behaves like the traditional whiteboards and interactive whiteboards that they are already used to—with lots of additional features and benefits that make teaching easier. For example, with EasiNote, teachers can open a whiteboard to write notes for their students, scroll up or down on an infinite canvas, and export their notes as a PDF that students can reference later. Or, they can take an existing web page, Powerpoint, or other Multimedia presentation and write on top of it, annotating points for the students and interacting with the content in real-time using simple, intuitive hand motions. With special features like write to text, built in subject tools, and built-in presentation tools, EasiNote is ideas for whole class instruction.

EasiCaptureB U I LD A L I B R A RY O F R E CO R D E D LE S SO N SEasiCapture integrates well with the other products in our software suite. Combined with DisplayNote, EasiNote or Snowflake, for example, EasiCapture makes it simple for teachers to record their instruction and prepare video content for their classes. To begin, all teachers do is launch the program they plan to use that day, then launch EasiCapture, and press record on the floating toolbar. Users can choose to capture all of the screen, part of the screen, or to capture the screen as well as their teaching using a connected webcam. When finished, teachers can use EasiCapture’s built-in quick edit tools to preview, clip, and add practical effects like zooms and transitions before saving the video for future use.

Effectively, EasiConnect turns your tablet into a slate with pen tools, mouse clicks, and a keyboard. Users also have easy access to common control features such as advance slide, scroll, pinch to zoom, and swipe. The EasiConnect app enables teachers to walk around the classroom when presenting, without the hassle of returning to the front of the class to switch inputs or interact with their lesson content.

Snowflake MultiTeachLE A R N I N G J UST G OT A LOT CO O LE RSnowflake MultiTeach is a robust suite of over 30 off-the-shelf software apps for touchscreens. Many of these apps, such as the Organs app, the Math Bugs app, and the Animals app contain preset content that busy teachers can use right out of the box as a warm-up to a lesson, as review, or as a rewarding game after a busy day. Plus, with the Lessons app, teachers can use templates and import content such as video, sound effects, images, and text to create customized, interactive lessons that are as simple or as complex as the subject at hand.
