Policies

• Upon booking for any course, 50% of the class fee is required, remaining balance is due on the first day of class. Fees/deposits are non-refundable. GST added to fees.

• Professional attire and white lab jacket is required for all courses unless otherwise specified.

• Students are responsible for providing their own models when required.

• Students are required to bring a notebook and pen.

• Students are asked to arrive 10 minutes prior to class time as courses start promptly.

• All class and workshop dates are subject to change. We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class.

• Courses with a scheduled exam date have a practical and theory component. A certificate will be issued if a passing grade is obtained and quotas have been completed.

• Please note that most courses and workshops are limited in size.

• A rescheduling fee of $175.00 applies for rewriting an exam or changing a course date.

• A fee of $250.00 applies for rescheduling an exam date.

This intensive certified facial course includes training in bacteriology and sanitation, cells, t issues, systems, skin histology and physiology, disorders and diseases, skin evaluation, extractions and massage & facial procedures. Advanced Facials $495

This 3 day Advanced Facial class is designed for those previously certified in Facials. A review of the following will be covered: bacteriology and sanitation, the skins structure and its functions, skin type evaluations with emphasis on aging, sun damaged, acne and sensitive skin. You will be given theory and have hands on training using the following specialized

Facials Facialsskin caree quipment; Microdermabrasion, LED light therapy and micro currents used to treat aging, acne and hyperpigmentation. In addition, the use of Galvanic current including Disincrustation and Iontophoresis, High Frequency, Micro Stimulation/Lymphatic Drainage and Rotary Brush will be demonstrated. Finally, you will be trained in the theory and application of chemical exfoliants including enzymes, AHA’s and BHA’s. Model required on day 2.

Image Paramedical Skin Care Workshop $50

Prerequisite: Facial Certification

Learn how to peel back the years with Image Skin Care, a paramedical skin care line. This 2 day course offers an opportunity to learn what makes Image Skin Care unique to our industry and how to prepare for success. Day one focuses on the theory behind peels and discusses each of the products and ends with a demonstration. Day two is a half day that gives the esthetician an opportunity to receive and give a treatment facial.

** A $50 credit will be issued towards Image Product after training is completed.

This two day course includes theory on cellulite causes and cures and thalassotherapy (seaweed and its benefits). Topics covered include cellulite massage techniques, body exfoliation and body wraps. Specifically, you will learn the Peppermint Sea Twist Body Wrap, Thermal Body Contour Treatment utilizing paraffin, Seaweed Body Treatment, Sea Spa Salt Glow and Honey Body Polish. This 4 day intensive Swedish Massage course is designed for anyone wanting to learn how to give a great full body relaxation massage. Ideal for estheticians who would like to offer a new service to their clients. Hot & Cold Stone Massage $550

Prerequisite: Basic massage techniques or previous certification in Swedish Massage.

This 3 day certified course is designed for anyone currently studying, practicing or looking to incorporate a new modality into your massage practice or day spa. In this course, you will learn how to perform the full body sequential procedure using both hot and cold stones, prone and supine positions including a hot and cold stone facial as well as energy balancing work. Additionally you will learn about stone health benefits of this “Geo-Thermo-Therapy”, how to make the stones do the “heavy work”, contraindications, history and care of the stones, client care and safety and some marketing tips. This course is recognized by several Canadian massage associations for continuing education credits.

Students who would like a Certificate are required to submit 12 documented practicums to the Instructor, within 4 weeks after completion of their course. Basalt and marble stones sets are sold separately.

This 4 day course will provide you with the theory, knowledge and step by step procedure of effective, safe and comfortable hair removal on all areas of the body. Theory will be covered in the areas of bacteriology, sanitation, as well as a study of the follicle and hair. You will also learn the benefit and differences of various types of waxes. This highly effective and safe procedure allows individuals to enhance the appearance of their lashes. It is specifically formulated to correct eyelashes natural wave. Eyelash perming is an excellent and easy addition to your esthetic services menu. This workshop will teach you the step by step method of eyelash perming. Model required.

Tinting Workshop - Lash & Brows $50

This workshop will provide you with the knowledge and step by step procedure of the effective and safe application of lash and brow tint. We will be using one of the only government approved tints in Canada - Thuya. This tint contains no coal tar, which prevents burning and irritation to your client. Model required.

Makeup Artistry Course $495

This comprehensive makeup artistry course teaches the theory and art of basic skin care, step by step makeup application including shading/ highlighting, foundation and color selection for all skin types, eye contouring, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara application and lip contouring. In addition, you will learn specific makeup techniques for photography and brides as well as the application of eyelash extensions. Students will also learn how to change from a soft daytime look to an evening look. The importance of proper hygiene, makeup kit selection and selling techniques are also reviewed.
