“ed” endings are pronounced in one of the

following three ways:

/ t /A 't' if the last sound of the infinitve is voiceless.

Examples:

I helped my sister make cookies yesterday.

She asked for a cup of tea.

He pushed the door open.

John stopped the car.

/ d /A 'd' if the last sound of the infinitive is voiced:

She blamed him for the accident.
