• Despite increasing attention from the globalmining industry, Argentina remains relativelyunexplored

• ECR is focused on the Sierra de las Minasgold project area in La Rioja Province in thenorthern central part of the country

• The project area encompasses numeroushistoric small scale gold mining areas

• Exploration targets identified within theproject area may offer scope for definition ofhigh grade, smaller tonnage gold depositssuitable for early development to production

• Key prospects include the El Abra historicmine, which comprises three exploitationconcessions covering 18 hectares

• ECR holds 100% exploration rights to theSierra de las Minas project area and 100%exploitation rights to a number of prospectswithin it, including the El Abra prospect

• Primary style of mineralisation at Sierra de lasMinas is mesothermal lode style gold

ECR MINERALS PLC

• Q1 2011 surface geochemical sampling at El Abra prospect confirmed thepresence of high grade gold mineralisation hosted within and inassociation with approximately 900m of outcropping gold-bearingquartz veins

• High grades including 80.78, 44.98 and 39.74 g/t Au returned (best resultsof programme in table to right)

• The El Abra vein margins are also significantly gold-bearing. Individualveins are exposed over lengths of up to around 100m and exposedwidths vary from <1m to 4m

• In addition to El Abra, numerous other historic prospects have beensubjected to first pass geochemical sampling in order to prioritise themfor further work. Five more priority prospects have been identified

• ECR has sampled approximately 2km of vein length at Sierra de lasMinas so far, including the El Abra veins. Mineralised widths at surfaceat numerous prospects aside from El Abra frequently exceed 1m andhigh grade gold values (>5g/t) are widespread

• Initial drilling programme completed at El Abra goldprospect in May 2012; partial results overleaf

• 13 drill holes completed totalling approximately 1,000m

• Surficial samples from El Abra and other prospects haveundergone initial metallurgical testwork with highly positiveresults; gold recoveries of 86-99% were achieved usingconventional methods (gravity concentration and cyanideleach)

• ECR is working to establish the viability of processing highgrade ore from El Abra and other prospects at Sierra de lasMinas either by toll treatment or in a dedicated processingplant

• Discussions initiated with potential partner for processing ofhigh grade material, which would allow commencement ofgold production with relatively limited initial capital

• >100,000oz gold has been extracted at Derewo River inrecent years by local miners using only primitivetechniques

• Objectives of the Derewo River project are to establish amore sophisticated alluvial gold mining operation andto explore for new alluvial and hardrock deposits

• Project is a JV with local partner. The West Wits interestis 50% in initial alluvial operation and up to 80% inexploration

• Initial alluvial mining area covers 40 hectares andexploration area exceeds 128,000 hectares. Explorationtargets include large scale alluvial gold, porphyry gold-copper and bonanza grade quartz sulphide gold veins
