In addition, EarthLink provides data redundancy for business continuity capabilities with its Storage Area Network (SAN) replication between multiple data centers. The SAN is a dedicated network that provides access to consolidated, block level data storage, and ensures that mission-critical systems can be run out of separate data centers. Replication is done at the SAN hardware layer, not in the software layer.
