Description

High volume, low pressure (HVLP) paintsprayers are designed to deliver a finefinish with low overspray. The sprayercan be used to apply various acrylics,stains, sealers, lacquers, latexes, andprimers. This unit can be used for paint-ing cabinets, furniture, machinery,equipment, walls and trim work. Spray-ers of this type are not recommendedfor automotive final coat. This portableunit is an ideal alternative to conven-tional spray guns. The Easy Spray’s hightransfer efficiency provides professionalresults with much less material wasteand environmental contamination thanother conventional spray painting sys-tems.

UnpackingWhen unpacking the sprayer, inspectcarefully for any damage that may haveoccurred during transit. Make sure any

loose fittings, bolts, etc., are tightenedbefore putting sprayer into service. Eachsprayer has been tested before ship-ment.

NOTE: The packing nut may need addi-tional adjustment due to the packingmaterial relaxing during shipment.

The fluid used for testing the sprayer hasbeen drained, but some of this fluid willremain in the spray gun. This fluidshould be flushed from the spray gun toprevent contamination of the coatingmaterial. Use a solvent compatible withthe coating to be sprayed.

Estos artículos de desgaste son: filtros de HVLP, escobillas de motor, empaque de la pistola, sellodel depósito de la pistola, válvula de retención de la pistola y el aro de flujo de aire de la pistola;válvula de admisión sin aire, válvula de salida, válvula de pistola, filtros, boquillas, todas las juntas y losanillos en "O".

6. QUÉ ES LO QUE NO CUBRE ESTA GARANTÍA:A. Las garantías implícitas, incluyendo las de comercialización E IDONEIDAD PARA UN PROPÓSITO

ESPECÍFICO, TIENEN UN LÍMITE DE UN AÑO A PARTIR DE LA FECHA DE COMPRA ORIGINAL, TALCOMO SE ESTABLECE EN LA "DURACIÓN". Si un producto de servicio normal se utiliza para finescomerciales o industriales, la garantía regirá por noventa (90) días a partir de la fecha de compraoriginal. Si el producto se usa para fines de alquiler, la garantía regirá por noventa (90) díasdesde la fecha de compra original. Algunos estados no permiten la limitación de la duración deuna garantía implícita, de modo que estas restricciones tal vez no rijan para Ud.

B. CUALQUIER PÉRDIDA, DAÑO O GASTO EMERGENTE, INDIRECTO O DERIVADO QUE PUEDARESULTAR DE CUALQUIER DEFECTO, FALLA O DESPERFECTO DEL PRODUCTO DE CAMPBELLHAUSFELD. Do not carry TURBINE while spraying.

Keep the turbine at maximum distancefrom spraying area.

! NOTICE

Static electricity can be produced byHVLP spraying. Make sure any electricallyconductive object being sprayed isgrounded to prevent static sparking. Thesprayer is grounded through the electriccord. If an extension cord is necessary,the cord must be a grounded, 115 volt,three wire type cord.

Hazardous vapors: Paints, solvents, insec-ticides, and other materials may beharmful if inhaled causing severe nau-sea, fainting or poisoning.

Always wear a mask or respira-tor and eye protection whenpainting. Be certain mask orrespirator will provide neces-sary protection against inhalation ofharmful vapors.

NEVER point spray gun at any part of thebody or at anyone else.

Tipping gun may cause clogs. Dried spraymaterial also clogs pressure deliverytube and fittings. The spray gun will notfunction when clogged.

When not in use, be sure to disconnecthose and place gun on a solid, level sur-face, or in the gun storage area locatedin the housing, to avoid tipping

To prepare paint for the Easy SprayGun, it must be stirred to an evenconsistency with a paint stirrer orclean dowel. Run the paint through apaint strainer like those included inthe Easy Spray package, or thereusable strainer accessory, to removeany hardened paint particles or bristleremnants that might clog the sprayer.

WALLSSurface preparation is the key toachieving a smooth, seamless finish.

Begin by patching nail holes or cracksin the wall with drywall compound.Apply as directed and allow to dry.Sand for a smooth finish.

Wipe your walls and trim with adamp cloth to remove dirt, residueand debris.

FURNITUREDo not paintfurniture withplastic or vinylveneer. Paintwill not stickto these sur-faces.

Remove cabi-net doors,drawers andhardware(knobs, pullsand hinges).

For woodpieces only: Ifyou plan touse new hardware after the piece hasbeen painted, check to see if you canuse the item’s existing holes. If not,

Preparation you will have to fill the old holes withwood filler and drill new holes priorto painting.

WOODUnless you are using a piece of unfin-ished furniture, you will need toexamine the piece for scratches, dustand other surface imperfections.

Lightly sand the entire piece toremove any surface contaminationand/or old, flaking paint. Wipe offdust and other particles with a dampcloth or tack cloth and allow to dry.

METAL

Sand the entire piece with 320 grit orfiner sandpaper so the paint willadhere.

Use naval jelly or coarse grit sandpa-per to remove rust. Old, peelingpaint should also be removed.

Wipe off dust and other particles witha tack cloth.

WICKER

Hose down wicker with luke-warmwater, paying careful attention tocorners and crevices.

Allow to dry thoroughly.

Test the Easy Spray Gun on a scrappiece of cardboard to determine ifthinning is required. When sprayed,the coating should produce a verysmooth finish, with tiny droplets visi-ble around the edges of the spraypattern. If the spray sputters or spraysinconsistently, it may be too thick. Ifso follow the thinning directions,available where the paint was pur-chased. Once you have thinned thepaint (if necessary) test spray to deter-mine proper material and air flowadjustment, as well as the distancefrom the surface.

GETTING STARTED

Place the furniture or object on adropcloth or in an area protectedfrom any overspray damage. It's bestif the piece can be hung so that allsurfaces can be sprayed at the sametime. If not let the coating on theexposed surfaces dry at least 24 hoursbefore repositioning the piece andpainting the previously unexposedareas.

PROPER HANDLINGThe key to suc-cessful spraypainting isproper han-dling of thespray gun.Hold the gun sothe spray tip isperpendicularto the surfaceyou are paint-ing and about4” to 9” away (move closer for small-er patterns). Paint with a side-to-sidemotion, keeping the gun perpendicu-lar to the surface. Bend your wristslightly to keep the nozzle an evendistance away from the surface as youmove your arm back and forth.

BASEBOARDS

For the baseboards, you only need toshield against the flooring. It is impor-tant to vacuum or sweep around thebaseboards so that carper fibers anddust don’t find their way into yourpaint job.

The most comfortable way to spraybaseboards is the set the pattern con-trol to the horizontal position andhold the gunon its side asyou work yourway around thebaseboard.Turn the gun so that the top istoward the adjoining wall when youare spraying corners. CAUTION:When cleaning the gun, pay specialattention to the hollow screws underthe check valve (shown inReplacement Parts Diagram).Holding gun sideways or upside downcan allow small amounts of paint toclog the air passages.

WALLS

When you’re ready to paint yourwalls, two coats of paint are recom-mended. Overlap each stroke by 1/2”to 1/3” use the Easy Shield to protectaround the corners of your windowtrim and door frames.

ACCESSORIES

The Easy Spray Gun can be used withexcellent results on furniture, shelves,

picture frames and other small itemsused to accessorize a room. Whiletrim color is still in the gun, paintsome of these items to give yourroom a polished, coordinated look.

PAINTING CABINET DOORS

Lay the removed cabinet doors flaton the floor or level surface or propagainst a sturdy object in a dust-freeenvironment. Be sure to protect sur-rounding areas from overspray. Beginby spraying any recessed grooves andedges. Start at one corner of thegroove, spraying around the cabinet'sperimeter at a distance of 6” to 8”.After the grooves have been sprayed,paint the rest of the surface using theside-to-side method. Paint should dryfor 24 hours before painting thereverse sides.

Spraying cabinet doors can be quickerand use less space if you construct aspraying rack for this task. This needsto be nothing fancier than a frame of2x4s and some metal hooks. Suspendthe doors by the hooks leavingenough space to spray both sides andall edges.

PAINTING DRAWERS

Paint drawer fronts the same way youwould paint cabinet doors. Be carefulnot paint any part of the drawertrack or slide. This will preventsmooth operation.

Siempre use una máscara o respi-rador y protección ocular parapintar. Cerciórese de que la más-cara o respiradero le suministrela protección adecuada contra lainhalación de vapores dañinos.

NUNCA apunte la pistola pulverizadorahacia ninguna parte de su cuerpo, ouotras personas.

Descripción

Las rociadoras de pintura de alto volu-men y baja presión (HVLP), están dis-eñadas para producir un acabado finocon poco desperdicio de material. Larociadora puede usarse para aplicardiversos acrílicos, tintes, selladores,lacas, látexes e imprimantes. Estaunidad puede usarse para pintar gabi-netes, muebles, maquinarias, equipos,paredes y marcos o bordes. Estas roci-adoras no son recomendables paraaplicar la capa final de pintura deautomóviles. Esta unidad portátil esuna alternativa ideal para las pistolaspulverizadoras tradicionales. Para desempacarAl desempacar la unidad, revísela cuida-dosamente para cerciorarse de que nose dañó durante el transporte.

Igualmente, cerciórese de que todas lasconexiones, pernos, etc., estén bienapretados antes de utilizar la unidad.Cada rociadora ha sido sometida a prue-bas en la fábrica antes de despacharla.

NOTA: La tuerca ajustadora deempaques tal vez necesite aoretarse yaque se ha podido aflojar durante eltransporte.

El fluído utilizado para probar la unidadha sido drenado, pero algunos residuosde este fluídos quedan en la pistola.Cerciórese de eliminar todos los residuosde fluído antes de utilizar la unidadpara evitar la contaminación del materi-al que va a aplicar. Limited Warranty

1. DURATION: From the date of purchase by the original purchaser as follows: Standard Duty PaintApplication Systems and all Paint Application Accessories - 1 year, Serious Duty Paint ApplicationSystems - 3 years, Extreme Duty Paint Application Systems - 5 years.

2. WHO GIVES THIS WARRANTY (WARRANTOR): Campbell Hausfeld/A Scott Fetzer Company, 100Production Drive, Harrison, Ohio, 45030, Telephone: 1-800-626-4401.

3. WHO RECEIVES THIS WARRANTY (PURCHASER): The original purchaser (other than for purposes ofresale or rental) of the Campbell Hausfeld Product.

4. WHAT PRODUCTS ARE COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY: All non-compressor driven paint applicationsystems, HVLP spraying systems, and paint application accessories supplied or manufactured by theWarrantor.

5. WHAT IS COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY: Defects in material and workmanship which occurwithin the duration of the warranty period. Warrantor will also cover normal wear items for a peri-od of thirty days from the date of original purchase against defects in material and workmanship.These wear items are: HVLP-filters, motor brushes, gun packing, gun canister seal, gun check valveand gun air flow ring; Airless-inlet valve, outlet valve, gun valve, filters, tips, all seals and o-rings.

6. WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY: A. Implied warranties, including those of merchantability and FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PUR-

POSE ARE LIMITED FROM THE DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE AS STATED IN THE DURATION. Ifstandard duty product is used for commercial or industrial purposes, the warranty will apply forninety (90) days from the date of original purchase. If product is used for rental purposes, thewarranty will apply for ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase. Some states do notallow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not applyto you.

B. ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS, DAMAGE , OR EXPENSE THAT MAYRESULT FROM ANY DEFECT, FAILURE, OR MALFUNCTION OF THE CAMPBELL HAUSFELD PROD-UCT. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential dam-ages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

C. Any failure that results from an accident, purchaser’s abuse, neglect or failure to operate prod-ucts in accordance with instructions provided in the owner’s manual(s) supplied with product.Accident, purchaser’s abuse, neglect or failure to operate products in accordance with instruc-tions shall also include the removal or alteration of any safety devices. If such safety devices areremoved or altered, this warranty is void.

D. Normal adjustments which are explained in the owner’s manual(s) provided with the product.E. Items or services that are normally required to maintain the product: HVLP-filters, motor brush-

es, gun packing, gun canister seal, gun check valve and gun air flow ring; Airless-inlet valve,outlet valve, gun valve, filters, tips, all seals and o-rings., or any other expendable part notspecifically listed, will only be covered for thirty days from date of original purchase.

7. RESPONSIBILITIES OF WARRANTOR UNDER THIS WARRANTY: Repair or replace, at Warrantor’soption, products or components which are defective, have malfunctioned and/or failed to conformwithin duration of the warranty period.

8. RESPONSIBILITIES OF PURCHASER UNDER THIS WARRANTY: A. Provide dated proof of purchase and maintenance records.B. Deliver or ship the Campbell Hausfeld product or component to the nearest Campbell Hausfeld

Authorized Service Center. Freight costs, if any, must be borne by the purchaser.C. Use reasonable care in the operation and maintenance of the products as described in the

owner’s manual(s).9. WHEN WARRANTOR WILL PERFORM REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT UNDER THIS WARRANTY:

A. Repair or replacement will be scheduled and serviced according to the normal work flow at theservicing location, and depending on the availability of replacement parts.

B. If the purchaser does not receive satisfactory results from the Authorized Service Center, the pur-chaser should contact Campbell Hausfeld (see paragraph 2)

This Limited Warranty applies in the U.S. and Canada only and gives you specific legal rights. You mayalso have other rights which vary from state to state, or country to country.
