First Ten Days: Mon - Wed Monday, March 26th – Wednesday, March 28th: Initial Tryouts - Come prepared, in shape, ready to go - We hope to be outside, but may be inside. Times will vary - We evaluate mostly on fundamentals. Tough to evaluate field awareness in gym - Well take full advantage of no homework and no school the next day.

Tuesday, March 27th – Base Line Testing

Wednesday, March 28th: Day: Tryouts - Weightlifting Evening: 10:30PM Invites to Rochester posted on team website a) Inviting 40 – 50 players b) This is not a first cut of Prep/JV/V- Top 35 for sure, then 5 - 15 for extra evaluation. (All Seniors, All Goalies)- A player not going to Rochester could still be on JV, or player going to Rochester on Prep

First Ten Days: Thr - Sat

Black Group (Rochester):- Depart Eastview at 4:00PM on Thursday (Transportation provided)- See Itinerary and Packing List in packet- Back at Eastview 8:00PM on Saturday

Blue Group (Eastview):- Practice at Eastview Thursday & Friday- Team building activity on Thursday (Busing provided)- 2 teams in Homegrown Lacrosse Meltdown on Saturday (Busing provided)

First Ten Days: Mon 4/2 2:25PM: Main Office Varsity, Junior Varsity & Prep (2) Teams Announced, Pick up letter from main office

- If a player misses tryouts, they cannot be placed on Varsity- Upon their return they will have an opportunity to move up based

on practice and game situations- Juniors can be placed on Prep- Players will have opportunity to move up or down during the season based on practice and game situations- Coaches will meet with Non Varsity Seniors individually to discuss

roles

FundraisingReward Sales Program

- No one likes fundraising, but it is necessary to pay for uniforms, coaches, equipment, etc.

- Frozen cookie dough sale is our one main fundraiser for the year

- Each player responsible for selling 30 boxes

- Buyouts are discouraged, but allowed ($180)

- Players can help pay some or all costs to play and earn cash incentives for themselves at the same time (new this year)

- Money bag has $5, $10, $20, and $50 bills inside

- 30 boxes sold earns 1 bill pulled from the money bag

- Every 10 additional boxes sold earns 1 additional bill from money bag

Other Incentives → Merchandise

- 40 boxes sold → Eastview Lacrosse apparel

- 50 boxes sold → Gift card

- 60 boxes sold → $100 bonus, plus additional $180 toward team costs

- Additional $1 per box sold for the top seller

- Money survivor game for top-selling team ($50 to one team member)

Issued Equipment for SeasonEquipment - Booster club owns 8 sets of equipment with the intent of being

issued to new players “trying out” the sport, not to be used consecutive seasons. First come, First serve. Contact Coach Roche

Tryouts - Everyone will be issued a tryout jersey between the number of 1-100.  Players will turn them in as soon as tryouts are complete.

Varsity - Every player will be issued/return a team bag, 2 jerseys, 2 shorts from team, issued/keep shooter shirt, order/keep a sweat suit.

Junior Varsity - Every player will be issued/return 2 jerseys and 2 shorts, and order/keep sweat suit.

Prep Squad - Every player will be issued/return 2 jerseys and 1 short, and order/keep sweat suit.

EVCF Lacrosse Scholarships- Two $500 scholarships available (1 Per Ten+ Seniors in the Program)- Essay required:

“What have you learned from your participation in Eastview Boys Lacrosse program and how has this helped prepare you for your future?”

- Other judging criteria:* Other school activities* GPA* Community and Program achievement * Letter of recommendation is required. * You must be in good standing on the team and in school* Financial need is not a consideration.
