BLADE STRESS AND CREEP

• Creep is due to blade grow in length due to high temperature and centrifugal force(stress)

• Stretch of blade occur in 3 stage :– 1st stage: rapid extention and decrease– 2nd stage : Constant rate of expansion– 3rd stage : Rapid extention and failure occur

• Improve grain structure and properties can improve service life
