UPCOMING EVENTS
Join us TONIGHT for our second grade musical
SEUSICCAL THE MUSICAL
Our second graders have been working extra hard to
get ready for their musical tonight. Students should
arrive no later than 6:15 wearing their Seusiccal shirt and the mu-
sical will start promptly at 6:30. If they did not order a shirt, please
have them wear a solid color shirt based on their class. Jackson ~ yellow, Bales
~ red, DiStefano ~ gray, Rathmell ~ blue, Sells ~ green and Dudley ~ purple. If
you child is in Mrs. Pena’s class, ask them who they go to specials with and have
them wear that color. You must enter the building through the front doors.
DOORS WILL OPEN AT 6:10!
Stock up on your summer reading at the BOGO
Book Fair coming to the ESE Library May 2nd ~
5th. For every book purchased, students will
receive a FREE book!!!
Our campus will be closed to visitors on May 9th,
10th and 11th due to STAAR testing. Please do not come to have lunch or bring lunch to your child on
these dates.

May 11th ~ 5th Grade Science
Please do not schedule any appointments for students who are testing on these
dates. Students who are not testing may be checked out on these dates.

Box Top Weekly Update
The top 3 classes are:
Mrs. Vaughn’s 1st grade class – 224
Mrs. Garber’s Kindergarten class – 208
Ms. Weeks’ 5th grade class – 162

The Top 5 classes that collected the most Box Tops for the whole school year will win a Grand
Prize. With two weeks left in the contest it is very important to bring in Box Tops with the student’s name and teacher’s name. Stu-
dents who bring in Box Tops also have a chance of entering our monthly drawing. Box Tops will still be collected until the
last day of school but the deadline for the April contest and the Grand Prizes is Friday, May 6th.

MONDAY ~ Our Super Heroes are EXTRAORDINARY, bring your teacher(s) some extra writing tools like
Expo Markers, pens, markers, etc.
TUESDAY ~ Sweet Treat Tuesday, bring your Heroes something sweet to snack on.
WEDNESDAY ~ Treat your heroes to a gift card.
THURSDAY ~ We are stuck on our Heroes! Bring your teachers a sticky note-pad.
FRIDAY ~ Super Heroes never leave finger prints, bring your teacher some hand sanitizer.
Super Hero surprises were due today. If you have not turned one in please do so ASAP!
SPRING PICTURES are coming home this week.
~You may chose to keep all, some or none of the pictures.
~~You may send cash or a check made out to Lifetouch to your
child’s teacher or you may go online at www.mylifetouch.com and pay for your portraits
there.
~~~Any unwanted portraits must be returned to school.

COPYRIGHT LAWS.
AUSTIN OR BUST!!!!! We will be having an END OF THE YEAR FUN
RUN on Friday May 20th to help our 3rd Graders get to Austin next year!!!
All funds raised will be used to reduce the cost of the field
trip to Austin. Stay tuned for more information coming home soon. All funds raised
will benefit each student equally across the grade level.
