On Thursday 7th of November, Students from Stage 3 attended the UNE Far Out Science Day. The students were treated to presentations and activities where they learned about the Earth’s ancient Geology by looking at meteors from planets that exploded 4.6 Billion years ago and Neuroscience where they explored the ways our brain works and how it solves problems we didn’t even know we had! Students made beef patties with different grinds of mince and spices to see what makes good food taste so nice and what makes worms and other micro-organisms so important to the quality of our soil and plants. Students had a great day - but were very tired by the end!
