mail server using Transport Layer Security (TLS)

or Se¬cure Socket Layer (SSL) when available. The

mails are then encrypted using one of the

strongest block ciphers available – 256-bit

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Each mail

is encrypted using a unique key. The unique

key itself is encrypted using a regu-larly rotated

master key. This ensures your emails’ constant

protection while we back them up. Files are store

on Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3), which

uses Standard Distributed Denial of Service

(DDoS) mitigation techniques such as SYN cookies

and connection limiting. Dropmysite’s backup

servers connect to web servers using a secure FTP

connection, and all files that are fetched are

encrypted. Public key authentication is also

available as an additional layer of protection for

website backups.
