Dr..S.V.Saravanan, serving as Principal in Christ the King Engineering College, Coimbatore .He obtained his B.E., M.E. and Ph.D., degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.He has two decades of teaching and research experience. He has published 30 research papers in various International/ National journal / conferences. He is specialized in Internal Combustion Engines. He is a Editorial board member and Life member in International Journal Pollution Research, ISSN 0257-8050 and Nature Environment and Pollution Technology (A Quarterly Scientific Research Journal), ISSN 0972-6268. He is an External reviewer for National Journal of Technology of PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. He is a life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), Combustion Institute and member of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE-USA). He is a member of Institution of Engineers, India. He is Member / examiner of Examination boards of various Universities leading to Ph.D./M.E./B.E.. He was a faculty advisor of ISTE Students chapter and renewable energy club of SNS College of Technology. He is the chairman for ISTE chapter and faculty advisor of ISTE Students chapter of Sasurie Academy of Engineering, Ranganathan Engineering college and Christ the King Engineering College, Coimbatore

He has attended and facilitated/ organized several All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), sponsored Short Term Training Program (STTP), Quality Improvement Program (QIP) and Anna University sponsored Faculty Development Programmes (FDP), Conferences and seminars in the field of Mechanical engineering. He is Doctoral Committee Member for various Ph.D. Scholars of Anna University; Coimbatore.He is a Recognized research supervisor for Anna University, Coimbatore and guiding twelve research scholars. He has chaired and co- chaired many International/ National conferences. A Project guided by him , has been awarded with third prize at all India level in All India Engineering Project Contest (TECHTRIX-2005).He has got best paper award in a national conference conducted by Vivekananda engineering college, Trichingadoe. He has given interview on Mechanical Engineering, about National Seminar of Mechanical engineering in Surian FM Radio on 12-03-2009. He has given interview on Mechanical Engineering, about its Course and Placement opportunities in Sun News Channel on 29-04-2009. He has visited Malaysia and Singapore. Recently awarded with BEST FACULTY AWARD for senior category in mechanical engineering by Nehru group of institutions, coimbatore on15-12-2011. He is the awardee of Kalvi Kalamani 2012, awarded by Kaviyarasar Kalathamil Sangam, Paramathivelur.----------
