Free your mind from manual positioningFor a fast and easy room set-up, the ceiling suspension with up to full 5-axes motorization positions the tube automatically close to the patient.

Faster workflow and easier collimationThe new Eleva Tube Head with 12" LCD touch screen monitor is designed to speed up workflow by checking and changing the most vital parameters directly at the tube head. The bird's eye view of the live camera supports correct collimation and helps to prevent retakes. For easy handling it comes with 6 color-coded control buttons and a capacitive sensor for 3-axis break-release at the handle.

Cover any patient type with easeThe height adjustable table with a 375 kg (820 lb) weight-bearing capacity has a proven and smart design that doesn't compromise on robustness, quality and work efficiency, even with challenging patients. The floating tabletop with its wide travel range provides significantly more coverage, allowing quick and effortless positioning.

More flexibilityThe SkyPlate or SkyPlate E* detector in the table covers all relevant anatomy with its large detector area of 35 cm x 43 cm (14" x 17"), provides full diagnostic information, even with large patients and can also be used for free exposures.

Less repositioning of patientsThe vertical movable stand optimized for X-ray departments with high throughput moves around the patient with ease. Therefore, less repositioning of patients is needed.

*SkyPlate E is not available in North America.4

Emergency room

The emergency room configuration is especially suited to critical work. The slim design of the SkyPlate detectors reduces interference with ER equipment such as X-ray tubes and catheters and facilitates per-patient time saving. With just a ceiling suspension and either the large SkyPlate or SkyPlate E*, there is more room for emergency equipment and staff, and more space around the patient – for example when performing free bedside chest exams with the grid-like image contrast software SkyFlow Plus.

Cost efficiency as the driver• In today's medical world facilities

must be mindful of the budget while maintaining their competitive edge.

• SkyPlate sharing is a convincing answer to financial constraints.

• With a fixed expenditure, room utilization can be increased even more.

Possible scenarios for SkyPlate sharing• If there are times during the day when

one of our SkyPlate detectors would be enough to cover the workload.

• If the hospital is equipped with several digital radiography rooms in close proximity, which only occasionally need a SkyPlate.

• If the medical facility only needs mobile radiography units at certain times during the day.

Main benefits at a glance• Low initial investment provides for a

high level of flexibility• Back-up solution to provide

continuous uptime• Smart starting point for expansion,

i.e. adding more SkyPlates to your department in the future

SkyPlate detector sharing

SkyPlate detector sharing allows you to utilize your budget and customize your SkyPlate disposition. The small SkyPlate is particularly useful for sharing because its specialized application range creates opportunities to apply it over the Philips’ premium DR and DRF portfolio. Similarly, you can use the large SkyPlates for free exams in different areas and additionally insert it in vertical stands or table trays.

Image taken without grid Image taken without grid and with SkyFlow Plus scatter correction

Image taken with grid

SkyFlow Plus

We’re committed to providing you with technology to support premium patient care. Philips SkyFlow Plus is an intelligent software that produces images with grid-like contrast by managing the effect of scattered radiation for non-grid exams across all anatomies. You can decide whether or not to use a grid. When working without a grid, SkyFlow Plus can streamline your workflows, deliver high-quality images, and enable you to keep patients at the center of what you do.

Free up workflowsSkyFlow Plus is designed for efficiency and fully automatic operation. Without an anti-scatter grid, you'll be able to work quickly, avoiding the time and effort associated with having to attach and detach a grid, not to mention carry, position and align one. Because there is no grid, you can eliminate potential retakes due to grid cut-off or misalignment.

Enjoy superb image qualitySupport clinical excellence with images of excellent quality. You can review enhanced images and make decisions on the spot since SkyFlow Plus immediately identifies and manages scatter from the image. It also delivers the correct contrast for each individual patient type by automatically adjusting the contrast enhancement based on the amount of scatter. As a result, you can examine a wide range of patients, including bariatric cases, while maintaining high standards for your images.

Enhance the patient experienceFocus on the individual, not the equipment. SkyFlow Plus features fully automatic operation in all functions, so you can devote more attention to patients. Since you may not need to prepare the detector with a grid, you will be able to focus on your patients, helping to shorten their exam times and position them comfortably during exams.

Main benefits at a glance• Provides time savings, since there is no need to

attach/detach a grid• Obtain high-quality images equivalent to images

acquired with a grid• Saves X-ray dose due to no retakes caused by grid

Automatic image stitching

The automatic image stitching software is a dedicated orthopedic feature to automatically acquire long-length images. Image acquisition is possible in both projections, horizontally on a patient table, or vertically in front of a vertical stand. A set of smart accessories provides excellent patient comfort and superb image quality.

Orthopedic exams are facilitated by the use of the orthopedic patient support for patient positioning. After the automatic acquisition of the image set (two to three images depending on the exam), a composite image is instantly created on the Eleva Workspot. The algorithm is fully automatic, manual interaction becomes unnecessary, although manual adjustments can be made. Furthermore, this package provides Cobb's angle and femoral head difference measurements.

When combined with PCR integration, this software also allows automatic image stitching to be performed with long view PCR cassettes.

Bone Suppression

Philips Bone Suppression* is an innovative image enhancement technology designed to increase the clarity of chest radiographs and promote better clinical outcomes by suppressing bone structure on digital images. This solution is integrated into the latest DigitalDiagnost C90 providing a soft tissue image for digital chest radiographs.

Bone suppression technology provides radiologists with a bone-suppressed soft tissue image in addition to the conventional chest image. This supplementary image boosts diagnostic decision-making confidence without the need for additional X-ray dose or time. With Bone Suppression actionable lung nodule detection is improved up to 16.8%.**

Philips Bone Suppression is fully integrated into the Eleva workflow of the latest DigitalDiagnost C90 system. Depending on the protocol, for each adult erect chest PA/AP image a bone-suppressed image can be automatically generated. The image is then sent to PACS and can be accessed and reviewed at any time along with the conventional chest image. This is a quick and easy step to support decision-making.

Main benefits at a glance• More confident image interpretation• Enables detection of 1 in 6 nodules previously missed • Fully integrated into the Eleva Workflow• Images are automatically added to patient files• Uses existing chest X-rays from regular examination, so no

additional doses/ procedures required• Immediate display on existing PACS viewer• No need for extra equipment• No additional examination times

Principle of the “mixed" focus spots, here with a diagram Cathode head with two filaments of a double focus tube

VarioFocus

Philips’ VarioFocus option is a unique generator technology that provides outstanding image resolution by simultaneously using both the small and large tube filaments. This provides high resolution of the small focus and the greater power of the large focus, to enable longer X-ray tube life.

By using both focus spots simultaneously to define a variable focus spot, Philips’ VarioFocus automatically balances the power on both focus spots in a defined ratio, providing excellent image resolution at any required power. In addition, tube filaments are preserved through power balancing on both focus spots and reduced power load on each of them, to enable longer tube life.

Main benefits at a glance• Outstanding image quality through mixed focus spots

adapted to each examination• Outstanding resolution at the power level required• Reduced exposure time• Reduced motion artifacts• Reduced geometrical blur• Fully automatic

Ambient experience

When working in a hospital, it is sometimes easy to forget that for many patients, going to a hospital is a stressful experience. Stress affects a patient’s physical reactions and their mental ability to comply with staff requests. Reducing patient stress is key to improving the patient experience. With Ambient Experience you can create an engaging, multi-sensorial radiography imaging environment that promotes a sense of well-being.

Ambient Experience is an approach to clinical environment design that aims to help facilities reduce patient stress, increase staff satisfaction and improve workflow. Implemented in over 1500 sites around the world, it is based on years of design research and collaboration, incorporating dynamic lighting, wall projection and sound, to create positive and engaging environments.

Main benefits at a glance• Reduced patient stress• Improved patient and staff experience• Improved patient and staff satisfaction• Supports clinical workflow• Differentiates the hospital

Improved patient experienceA patient’s experience, and often the efficacy of the examination itself, is influenced by many factors, and the imaging environment is an important one.

Ambient Experience solutions help patients become an active participant in the process. They can personalize the imaging environment by selecting a journey, which distracts them and gives them something positive to remember.

Instead of focusing on the imposing equipment, the patient is now able to concentrate on various elements of the selected theme, reducing stress, and contributing to a better hospital experience.

Workplace efficiencyIntegrated storage, recessed counters and concealed waste bins open up the room. In an uncluttered, ergonomically designed work environment, staff move about more freely. This renewed sense of comfort along with a more relaxed patient

can help boost confidence, speed workflow and increase throughput. Job satisfaction may improve, strengthening employee retention.

Patient and staff satisfactionPhilips Ambient Experience provides a unique opportunity to enhance a facility’s radiography room, maximize the clinical investment and establish a competitive edge.

A study* by Philips Research at Jeroen Bosch Hospital X-ray exam rooms, confirmed that the Ambient Experience rooms are improving patient satisfaction significantly. They documented an increase of 29% and 45.45% in patient satisfaction in the Ambient Experience rooms compared to the control room. Staff benefited as well. Ambient Experience makes their working environment feel less clinical and promotes a more pleasant experience.
