State-of-the-art acoustical design and flexiblefacilities make The DiMenna Center an idealvenue for recording. With analog and digital connections for multi-track recording, and rooms fitted for fiber optics, all spaces can accommodate a wide range of production needs and equipment.

All rooms provide properly isolated A/C power, and noise coefficient ratings are consistent with professional recording standards. Acoustical design for the Center was created by A’kustiks, one of the world’s leading acoustical firms.

REHEARSALS

The DiMenna Center has hosted rehearsals for thousands of local and touring musicians of all levels and backgrounds. Acoustically-optimized spaces and user amenities ensure the best possible environment for preparation of a musical performance.

Recent users include Iván Fischer, Renée Fleming, Emanuel Ax, Susan Graham, Christian Tetzlaff, Joshua Bell, Tan Dun, Philip Glass, Sarah Chang, Matthias Pintscher, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, New York Philharmonic, International Contemporary Ensemble, Silk Road Ensemble, The Knights, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, American Symphony Orchestra, New York Youth Symphony, American Ballet Theater, San Francisco Opera, La Scala, Musica Sacra, and American Brass Quintet.

Rehearsal space for chamber ensembles and sectionals. Can also be used for breakout sessions, or as a green room for groups renting Cary or Benzaquen Halls. Outfitted for recording.
