THE DESIGNER BEHIND GALERIES LAFAYETTE DOHAAs one of the most influential designers and architects in the world, Bruno Moinard with 4Bi & Associés’ style has become synonymous with art and luxury. Utilising these two elements within his designs is what made his constantly relevant to contemporary design, elegance and modern art.

When describing his style, it is easy to see that it is unique in the sense that it does not pay attention solely to fashion, but that it is both timeless and effortless, and that it answers in an artistic and aesthetic manner to the challenge at hand.

It’s from his origins in Dieppe, and his fascination for the sea and the milky alabaster of the coastline that Bruno Moinard developed his love for light, for strong, simple lines, transparency and the essence of things.

A graduate of the French National School of Applied Arts and Crafts, he began his career in 1979 with several prestigious collaborations, notably within the agency Ecart International, founded by Andrée Putman, before leaving in 1995 to found his own agency, 4BI.
