Cut outthe shape.
The stitches are ordecoration so keep
them neat and even.
Collect together all the pieces to
decorate the abric patch. The ric-rac
border and very small bits o abric donot need the adhesive backing.
Position the shapes

WARNING: THE IRON IS HOT!
Scissor design
Peal of thebacking paper.
Place the shaperight side up onthe abric.
Sew the shapeto the abric
patch withrunningstitch.
Match theends o theric-rac tolook neat.
Gently iron thepaper shape tothe abric.
Gently iron the shapeonto the abric.
Careully snipholes or theabric buttons.
Sew on the buttonswith diferent-coloured thread.
Position the ric-rac border withpins then sew in place.
Make aeature othe runningstitches.
Use blanketstitch or adecorativeedge.
Prepare the shapes to beironed on (as above).
Use running stitchto create extra detail.
Use Frenchknots orthe eyes.
Cut out theabric shapes.
Small shapes andbuttons can besewn directly tothe patch.
Cut out a piece oabric or the patch.
