Foreword

International Organisations are specialised agencies whose mandate is to promote

and accelerate sustainable development in developing countries and work towards

improving the living conditions in the world’s poorest countries by drawing on its combined

global resources and expertise.

Vision of International Organisations is for a better social order free from all

types of exploitation and for provision of basic needs for a civilized life, upgrading the

living standard of common people along with healthy life and atmosphere.

It also aims to contribute to the building of peace, eradication of poverty,

sustainable development and inter cultural dialogue, through education, the sciences,

culture, communication and information. International Organisations has emerged with the

aim to offer innovative solutions to remove the various taboos and obstacles in the way of

social development regarding human rights, socio-economic, and environment and primary

health issues in the remote and rural areas.

It is providing services for research and development activities through networking

and manages their services by providing assistance.

The lives of people all over the world have come to be touched by the work of

Organisations, as is evidenced by the interest taken by them in the protection of human

rights and development. They perform important and indispensable roles in our world

today, taking over allocative, redistributive and stabilizing functions.

International Organisations have reached out to the lowest level of population

inhabited by the rural poor and render services to the unserved and underserved pockets

of targets.

Various agencies are involved in a multitude of activities with a relentless and

selfless serving attitude. Through the available websites, efforts have been made by the

institute to bring together addresses of all such international organizations operational in

our country in form of a Directory.

It is hoped that the Directory on International Organisations being brought out by

NIPCCD will serve as a ready reckoner for researchers, students, teachers, professionals

and other readers and will be useful for persons working for the empowerment of

vulnerable sections of the society and other stake holders.
